"Isn't that a question I should be asking?"

His voice was amused, arrogant, completely opposite from the humble knight Nesrin had seen in Azenora's past.

Nesrin replied, "I don't know."

"We call it the Realm of Infinity," he explained with a heavy sigh, "It's a small wrinkle in time and space which can lead someone to almost every place, every time."

He had no shadow and Nesrin only noticed that when a sudden silhouette flickered in front of her, like a shadow that just materialized out of thin air.

Her breaths fell short as the shadow neared from behind.

"This is also how you came to somewhere you were never supposed to be," he said carefully and those words caused her nerves to grow numb.

"What do you mean?"

She inhaled sharply when their eyes met.
