Chapitre 130: Last Promise

Nesrin woke up, panting in the dimly lit room. Her body was covered in a sheen layer of cold sweat as her labored breaths echoed across the silent room. She was exhausted and her body felt too heavy to get up, but she can not stay there.

The night had been long and dreadful. Even when the horrors of that mansion subsided, her mind was soon claimed by nightmares. She found herself in absolute darkness, Izekiel was near, and yet he felt too far.

Then, he asked a strange question.

"What would you do if I was cursed?"

She slowly realized what he was talking about, being cursed by the dark element and ending up like those people with no will of their own. 

It was a terrifying thought, and those memories faded and she saw the alternate fate that had awaited Izekiel in the novel. Her heart shuddered as she recalled that.
