Clear blue sky. Green grass and forest covered the land as far as the eyes could see. After taking in the view, Agatha closed her eyes, savoring the smell of wilderness and freedom. Almost the same as the one back home, but different in a way she couldn't point out.

Zeir's fingers slipped between hers, making her feel whole. Her heart overjoyed at the prospect of reuniting with her mother and sister. She opened her eyes to examine Elytreea and see if anything distinguished it from Sundac. Except for the abrupt change in season, from winter to summer, nothing made her believe she found herself in another world.

They stood on the cliff's edge, where the blue portal had led them. Bright sunlight shone onto the grass at its base, at the bottom of the precipice, then a shadow swept it away. It had appeared from behind her. As if by instinct, she shifted her weight to her heels and crouched.
