Chapitre 99: The Hatchlings

When I managed to stretch far enough to break the semi-transparent layer that prevented the light from reaching me completely, the sun blinded me but did not prevent me from taking a deep breath. I got drunk with happiness and started making strange sounds in my throat. These were combined with the other similar noises but with different tones.

When I was able to open my eyes and look around, I saw other eggs similar to the one I had just come out of. I couldn't help but marvel at the beautiful and highly intense colors that made us stand out so much.

We were six hatchlings looking at each other, wondering what we were. As the sky darkened and she descended upon us, my first wish was that I would always be by her side. For that, I needed to grow as towering as she was, but I knew that would come with time.
