Because Hope could not fly to the palace, Ayala got a carriage and two horses from Springwood Castle.

Wrenn didn't feel like spending so much time in a carriage with them, so he commissioned Terix to supervise the women. Then the crown prince left alone, mumbling, in the opposite direction. He had most likely changed into his dragon form after finishing the monologue he was mumbling while walking away.

The land route took almost a day and a night to reach the palace. So the journey was long and tiring. The two women were sitting on a hard wooden bench covered with some blankets, and Terix was on the other seat in front of them.

The cobbled road made the carriage squirm at every step, shaking it enough to make sleeping almost impossible. They left at dusk, so the darkness covered everything outside in less than an hour. From the ceiling of the cart hung a lamp that was enough to illuminate that small room.
