wait, Cain's Learnings, that's Cain from the Diablo series.
that's not going to be a fun charm to get.
"oh, that thing?" penny says breaking me out of my minor depression over the difficulty of finding out what this charm is.
"I don't know what that is, but it came from both the brother gods after they were killed." thank you penny, that tells me that this could be amazing.
"this is a charm, there are many different charms, but this one is special, in that I have no idea what it is." I say.
"what do you mean? You usually know what charm it is when you pick it up." Hornet says.
"that's because this charm needs another charm to be identified, and I can't use it until it is identified." I say.
before anymore discussion could be had, a saber tooth grim leaped towards Hornet from behind, I saw it, and my body moved faster than my brain because as soon as I thought about killing the grim, it already was dead.
I stood there for a bit longer in the cool pose that came from when I sliced the grim in half from the middle up.
I did a small flourish as I sheathed my nail, I looked pretty cool.
"nice job, but you missed the four others that were waiting." Hornet says, ruining my moment.
as I looked back to Hornet, I saw the decapitated body's of four saber tooth grim, that also looked like twice the size of the one I bifurcated.
"I thought you did wonderful new friend!" penny says.
"thank you penny." I say
I see in the distance, behind the tower, the other side of the massive cavern that is so big I almost forgot we were still underground.
"say penny, do you want to come with us to fight other things other than these grim?" I ask.
"I would love to, unfortunately I cannot leave this forest, for some reason when ever I try the parts I had sticking out heading towards one of the exit tunnels, that part suddenly shut down, and it starts heading towards the rest of my body, then I step back into the forest, and it comes back a little later." penny says.
"ok then, Hornet and I will just have to make sure to visit you often." I say.
"ooh that would be wonderful, thank you friend!" penny says.
"I almost forgot, I never actually told you my name!" I say.
"sorry about that, the names Ember Hollow, but please call me Ember." I say.
ooh, that does not look good, why is penny's eyes glowing red like that.
"so it was you that killed them!" penny is angry.
shit.
penny launches some hand beams in my direction, and I just barely managed to dodge.
"what do you mean?! I've never even set foot here aside from today!" I say trying to get penny to calm down.
"You are the one who killed my friends! your name was written with their blood!" penny says.
penny's attacks are not letting up, and I'm starting to tire out.
the barrage of attacks suddenly stop, and I take a breath, as I see Hornet drive her nail into the back of penny.
"I told you Ember, she was unstable." Hornet chastises me.
"*sigh* and here I was thinking that there was someone who was not effected by all this madness." I said.
"oh? effected by madness am I?" Hornet says.
"oh, no no no, I would never even think that, I meant having a friend with all this craziness going on would be nice." I said.
"well, how about I do friend one better?" Hornet says.
she does a sultry walk towards the tunnel entrance, I can feel myself getting warmer as I blush.
as Hornet vanishes from view, I take a look at the body of penny.
"I am sorry for what has happened to you, and I hope you find peace wherever you end up." I said to penny's body, and I walked away to the tunnel entrance also.
I saw Hornet leaning against the side of the entrance, looking at me with sultry eyes.
I wanted so badly to just take her then and there, but I couldn't because I wanted it to be more special, or at the very least to do her on a bed.
and so me and Hornet walked down the tunnel, and she brought up something I said back there.
"so, when were you thinking of proposing to me, clearly soon as by the fact you called me your wife." Hornet says.
"I was planning on doing it when I was going to slay the radiance, but I think now would be a better time." I say.
I turn to Hornet, as we had stopped for a bit when she had asked me that, and I got down on one knee and pulled out what the system gave me.
(A/N I am totally pulling from that one fic here web novel, with the one guy transmigrating and fusing with the main male character of Darling in the franxx, monkey in the multiverse)
it was a ring, one that was very simple, but very amazing, kind of like the ring of celebrimbor in shadow of war.
Hornet was more than a little shocked.
as I put the ring on her finger, the system deigned to finally show me what the bonuses are for it.

[Significant Other is only available to the female spouse]
well then- my thoughts are cut off as Hornet tackle hugs me into the wall.
"I love you Ember." Hornet says.
"I love you too Hornet" I say.

(A/N okokokok, before you crucify me for killing penny, first, she had already died once, because penny's first appearance does not have laser hands, and is shown in rwby, penny is killed, and comes back later with the laser hands and rocket shoes, second, she had been alone for a long time her mind is very unstable, third she was alone that long time because of something or someone killing her friends and disappearing after painting a wall with the name 'Ember Hollow' in the blood of her friends, adding all that together and you have a psycho penny.)
