Now that they were sitting across from each other civilly and their appetites had been satiated, she needed to get down to business.

"Five." She laid her open palm on the table so he could deposit her payment inside.

She kept her hand there and waited for her debt to be paid. She was not here because she wanted to get sucked into this nightmare again. She wanted to sever their ties forever so they could move on and never see each other again. The sex was amazing and it felt incredible when he held her, but her heart had been smashed once before and she did not want to let it happen again. She was now going to keep it hidden deep inside of her where he could never reach. 

Paul stared at her with narrowed eyes, showing he was not going to accept her demand easily.

"Pay up." She shook her fingers in front of his face.

"Fine." He took out coins from his pocket. "Here."
