Chapitre 28: This Is Kidnapping
"I did not do anything. Miss Yang, do you not have any conscience? Why don't you clarify infront of everyone that I did nothing towards you? Was it not Miss Yang who stopped me at the entrance and took me inside despite knowing that I have no invitation?"
Yang Shiwei, after seeing her father was here to protect her became bolder and more arrogant. She completely ignored Li Ruyan and no longer took her seriously.
"Miss Li, please don't be mad. I know that you still have some feelings for my fiancé but it is really not right for you to vent your anger on me." Yang Shiwei cried out.
"I see, I see. So that is the case." Yang Liu said as he glared darkly at Li Ruyan. His expression was unkind and he was staring at her as though he wanted to mince her.
"So this woman is so desperate that she has his eyes on my son-in-law. Do you think that the Yang family is so easy to bully? Do I look invisible in your eyes?" Yang Liu said with anger, he was shaking.
"Miss Yang." Li Ruyan who was getting annoyed at being misunderstood called out by Yang Shiwei. "Are you really going to be like this? I have never even mentioned your fiancé's name in our conversation. Why are you accusing me?"
Then she turned to Min Yue. "And you, CEO Min. Do you see me fawning over you? I may not own a multi-millionaire company but I still have my standards."
Min Yue's originally calm eyes darkened because of her words.
Li Ruyan was not sure if he was acting but his impending anger felt real more than ever because, at the next moment, he shouted at her and pointed a finger at her.
"Li Ruyan, not only did you make my fiancé cry but you still did not give up. Shiwei is now my beloved. She is my future. Li Ruyan, stop making trouble. You have the guts to do something shameless but dare not admit it. You disappoint me."
She is my future... She is my future...Those words echoed in Li Ruyan's head and she was stunned in place.
At that moment, the bodyguards caught her arms.
"Throw her out now! I don' want to see her infront of me again." Yang Liu ordered, making the bodyguards drag Li Ruyan away who was mutely staring at Min Yue. She was halfway towards the entrance when she started to struggle.
"Let me go. I will go on my home." She told me. They let her go after that and she walked away, her eyes wide with shock. She stood outside of the hotel and waited, intending to hail a taxi.
But then she saw a man walking to her at the corner of her eyes.
"Miss Li." The man started as he regarded her. He was tall and he wore a pokerface. He was a handsome man wearing a suit. Li Ruyan was usually a good judge of character so she could tell that the man infront of her did not show any kind intentions towards her but he also did not seem like he was there to harm her.
"Can I speak with you?"
"I'm sorry. I'd rather not talk to a stranger." She replied sassily.
Du Tianxing looked at the woman infront of him. Indeed, she was not as simple as he expected. He was watching from a corner and he was waiting for her to cry and break down infront of so many people. Yet, she was still so calm and she managed to get out with her life intact.
He was aware that Yang Liu was being kind at that time because it was his birthday party and they were in the eyes of the public so, at most, Yang Liu could only order his bodyguards to throw Li Ruyan out. If they weren't in that situation...
Du Tianxing's eyes flashed. This little woman would have suffered far more than what happened tonight.
He grabbed her hand and dragged her with him towards the parking lot. He ignored her cries of protests and shoved her inside his car.
When he closed the door, he could see the woman's fierce eyes that were trained on him, as if she wanted to eat him alive and chew his bones. He shivered.
She was indeed different from other women. She was strong and fierce. He understood why Min Yue, his little cousin would be fond of her. Like his cousin, he did not like weak people and there was something about Li Ruyan's character that exuded a charm of its own, making him feel interested.
"Are you out of your mind? This is kidnapping." Li Ruyan told the man before her. She has never seen his face before. He seemed like the elusive type and as he leaned on the leather seat in a casual manner, his sword-like eyes looking at her, she felt as if she stumbled upon a dangerous person.
She inched away from him.
Du Tianxing's lips quirked to the side. So the little wildcat still has a sense of self-preservation.
He extended his hand to her. "Du Tianxing. I am Min Yue's maternal cousin."
