Chapitre 35: Chapter 35: My Choice

Some time later I open my sleepy eyes to find Rick staring at me with a furrowed brow, like he’s contemplating something. It’s dark outside, so I must have been out for a while. I experimentally adjust my body and my back feels normal, almost as if nothing happened. I turn to sit up in bed and I notice my leg is healed as well.

I hold the bed sheet against my chest, the thin material the only thing keeping me decent at the moment. Rick is only wearing pants, his beautiful upper body on display for my viewing pleasure.

“Good as new,” Rick says in a husky voice.

“Seems that way,” I reply a little awkwardly under his intense gaze.

“When were you going to tell me you could fly?” he asks.

“I only found out that I could the night everyone got sick and then with everything that’s happened…” I trail off.

“Any other surprises?” he questions.

“Not that I know of,” I say.

“I’m so-”

“Raven, I-”

We both start talking at the same time and I give him a small smile.
