"Can I have some water?" his hoarse voice sounded miserable.

Rayna nodded and went to fetch the bottle of water. After drinking his fill, he wiped his mouth with his sleeve, and took a deep breath and turned towards Kadyn. "Why did you save me? And please, don't tell me the bullshit about being my friend. We barely know each other."
