School has just ended and I look at that gloomy sky above me.
The weather matched my mood. I wasn't feeling it today.
Maybe because talking to Lisa had taken it's toll on me, but I seriously didn't feel like doing anything.
"Hey you." Chloe walks up to me.
I give her a small smile. "Hi."
"What are you doing here?"
Being lazy.
I look at the sky again. "Nothing really."
"I think I know." She says with a smile.
I look at her.
"You were waiting for me weren't you?" She bumps her shoulder with mine a little.
"Sure sure. Whatever makes you happy."
"I'm honored but it's going to be a no today."
"Why?"
"I have a date with Peter."
"That's nice."
"Yeah so I have to get ready for him."
"When did he ask you out?"
"On Monday."
I nod. "I still haven't met him though."
"You will soon enough." She checks her phone. "I have to go, I'll see you tomorrow." She waves at me and I wave back.
I sighed and started walking home. I wasn't in the mood to take the bus. I just wanted to enjoy this gloomy weather alone and walk to my house.
"Can I walk with you?"
I turn to face him.
"Why?"
"So we can face this gloomy weather together." He says and I just stare at him.
"But what if you get affected because you decided to walk with me in the rain."
"That's my problem to solve not yours."
We both knew what we were talking about, and we both knew what it meant.
"Walking with me in the rain means you'd get wet and sick."
"Maybe I want to get wet and sick." He says back. "And besides, wouldn't you also get sick?"
"Well I'm used to being sick."
"Nobody should get used to that." He says.
"Sometimes you have to. Especially if you get sick all the time." I say and he doesn't say anything back.
How did we go from just walking with me to getting sick?
"Let's go." I say after a while.
I turn and start walking. He walks up beside me and we walk together in silence.
"Does Chloe know?" He asks after a while of walking in silence.
I don't respond immediately.
"I don't know how to tell her." I mutter.
"I can't say it's going to be simple, but how about you sit her down and start from the beginning?"
I sigh. "Like you said, it's not simple."
"But-"
"She has to know." I finish for him. "She has to, and I'm going to tell her." I pause. "Not just now."
Again, we walk in silence. After a while, we get to the front of my house and I turn to him.
"Thanks. For walking me home."
"It's nothing."
I wave at him and walk inside. When I get to the door, I turn and I still see him standing there.
"Bye." He waves at me and I wave back.
I open the door to enter and I gently close when I get in.
I rest on the door for a moment before I finally sighed and stood upright.
I start to walk to my room to get changed.
"I was waiting for you to get back."
I halt when I hear his words.
Shit.
He walks out of the living room and stands at the foot of the stairs.
We weren't standing far from each other, neither was I far from the kitchen door.
If I can just run to the back door and-
"What took you so long?" He asks.
"Um, I walked home."
He raises an eyebrow. "You walked home?"
"Yeah. The weather was nice and I wanted to enjoy it." I say in a rush.
He nods. "Ah. Well, welcome home."
"I should be saying that to you instead." I say.
"Then why don't you come closer and say so."
"I think I'm good here."
"You don't want to get your uncle angry now do you?" He asks
I shake my head quickly. "Of course not."
"Good. Now come here."
He puts his hand out and I shake my head slowly.
"Raven I said come here." He says more sternly and I gulp.
I slowly drop my bag, and begin to take slow steps towards him.
"That's it." He smiles sickly and I almost gag.
When I get to the kitchen doorway, which was a few steps from him, I dash inside.
Although I don't make it in for long because he grabs me by my hair hard and hit me on a wall.
I let out a loud piercing scream.
He walks to where I am on the floor.
"You shouldn't have done that you know." He grabs me by my hair again and pulls me up.
By this time, I was already in tears.
He drags me to the counter side and I see a bunch of knives beside the sink.
"Please." I beg him. "Please."
"You should've been a good girl."
He hits my face and I fall to the ground. I stand up quickly and rush to where the knives are before bringing one out.
"Don't come any closer!" I shout when he takes a step towards me, but he just smiles.
"You can't do anything. You're just a slut. My slut." He says and takes a step towards me.
"Don't come any closer." I repeat again but he just smiles and rushes to me.
I don't know how it happened. One moment he was rushing to me, the next, he was staggering back wards.
He looks at me in shock and then looks at his bleeding stomach.
I fall to the floor and let out another piercing scream.
Uncle Mark falls down with a thump and I move back quickly and stop when I hit my back on the sink cabinet.
I couldn't stop shaking and crying.
Uncle Mark doesn't seem to be moving and the next thing I see is Nick by the kitchen doorway.
He looks at me with a worried look before he looks at uncle Mark on the floor in shock.
He looks at me again. "Raven." He says softly.
"I-i-i think I just k-k-killed my u-uncle."
