Chapitre 31: FRIEND TO FRIEND CONCERN

When Mary frowned deeper, Laura smiled and said "I mean, I heard that Calvin is going for a business trip to Country C, why don't Anna and Cal go together?"

"Yeah mom, I think Cal needs me—"

"No, my son is capable to do his own things." Mary scoffed

"But honey, Anna is Cal's assistant—" Arthur stopped saying when Mary gave him 'Shut up or else I will divorce you' look.

"What? Will he go with her? Why the hell he needs someone to take care of him? Can't he just appoint a male assistant to him?" Elsa frowned and thought

"Babe, did you hear that? How can Calvin go on a trip with that bitch?" Elsa couldn't help but nag

Ava chuckled and said, "Babe, Anna is Cal's assistant and she has the right to accompany him."

"Can't he appoint male assistants? Anna is—"

Cutting Elsa off, Ava asked "Why are you behaving odd El? Are you feeling jealous?"

"No, why the hell I will feel Jealous?" Elsa muttered

Ava shrugged her shoulders and said, "The way you are reacting clearly shows how much jealous you are feeling."

I" am not jealous. He can go out with anyone. Why the hell I will be Jealous?" Elsa scoffed

"El, you are not jealous, right?" She asked herself

"No, I am not jealous. It's just FRIEND TO FRIEND CONCERN." Elsa took a deep breath and thought

"But, can't he take someone good like me?" Elsa frowned and thought

Laura smiled and said, "Mary, I know our Cal is capable of himself but don't you think he will get strained by continuous work?"

Pausing for a while, she said "If Anna is there with him, she can take care of things. She will less his burdens, right?"

Calvin sighed and said, "Thank you for thinking about me but I am so sorry I can't take Anna with me."

"Thank god." Elsa breathed a sigh of relief

"But Cal—"

Calvin smiled and said, "Anna is a really capable assistant and that's the reason I want her to be here and take care of things when I am away."

Looking at Anna, he said, "I hope Anna won't mind staying here."

Anna forced a smile and said, "Hehhee, I won't mind Calvin."

"Finally, she isn't going with him," Elsa whispered

"I think you are more happy with this decision." Ava chuckled and said

"No, I am not—"

"Don't lie, babe, your face says it all." Ava helplessly shook his head and said

"Yeah, I am happy because Anna is such a pure bitch who may cross her limits and do something unthinkable with Calvin at country C. I am just worried about Calvin as a friend." Elsa sighed and said

When Ava chuckled, Elsa frowned and asked "Why are you chuckling?"

"No, I am just happy that you are worrying for YOUR FRIEND." Ava chuckled and said

"You don't have to be sarcastic." Elsa rolled her eyes and said

"But Cal—"

Cutting Laura off, Mary said, "Didn't you heard what Calvin said?"

Pausing for a while, Mary purposely said "Cal doesn't want to go with Anna that means he isn't interested in her. Didn't you get that?"

Looking at Laura's face, Ava chuckled and whispered "Aunt Mary is so cool."

Looking at the tense environment, Arthur sighed and said "Okay, why don't we cut the cake and enjoy the party? "

"Yeah, we can't spoil our party due to—"

Looking at Laura, Mary continued "Due to some unwanted people." before walking away

"Mom, Did saw that? Aunt Mary purposely did that?" Anna frowned and said

"I know, she clearly hates me." Laura clenched his hand into a fist and said

"Mom, how can I marry Calvin when Mary hates me?" Anna pouted her lips and said

"When Calvin starts falling for you then Mary can't do anything. You have to work hard and seduce Calvin." Laura said with a devilish grin on her face

"Yeah, mom."

"You are working as his assistant for more than one year but you haven't seduced him yet. Why?" Laura frowned deeper and asked

"Mom, Cal isn't—"

"I know, Cal isn't interested in you but you have to create a situation that will make fall for you." Laura sighed and said

"How?"

Laura sighed and said, "Let's go to the home and I will make you understand everything."

One hour later

"Did you enjoy the party?" Calvin smiled and asked

"Yeah, I loved the party." Elsa smiled back

"El, Can I drop you at home?" Calvin asked

"No, I mean Ava is there too." Elsa pursed her lips and said

"Nick will drop Ava and I will drop you," Calvin said

"But Cal—"

"El, Nick just proposed Ava. They need some personal space—"

"What? Nick proposed Ava and she didn't tell this to me?" Elsa widened her eyes in shock and asked

"Shhh, why are you shouting?" Calvin looked around and asked

"This is such a huge thing and why wouldn't I shout when my best friend didn't tell this huge news to me?" Elsa snapped

"Fine, you can shout but not here okay." Calvin sighed and said

Pausing for a while, he said "So, Nick just proposed and he wants some space to talk with her. If you go with Ava, he couldn't pour his heart out, right?"

Thinking for quite some time, She said "Fine, you can drop me."
