Her father's words took Victoria by surprise.

"No!" exclaimed Victoria. "Nothing has changed! You are still my father and she is my mother. We are one family."

"Yes, but your mother and I can not be together anymore."

"What? Noway!" Victoria looked at her father in disbelief. "I've done everything so far, but what I got is… all this mess?"

Victoria grabbed her hair with both hands. Her father pressed her shoulder. "Vicky, listen to me. I can't force your mother to stay with me. She might already be happy with another man."

"Mom!" cried Victoria. "Is that true? Are you happy with that man?"

Her mother looked like she was hugging herself. She rubbed her hands. "I do not know."

"Mom! Come on!" cried Victoria. "Tell me the truth! You still love dad, right?"

"I'm so sorry, Vicki. I cannot continue this marriage. Your father and I are not from the same world. He's a prince from Emporion Land, while I'm just a mere mortal."
