Chapitre 33: Extracurricular Detectives

Their three-hour trip to San Antonio barely tired them. They knew they had to work fast before their chief's suspicions were raised. It didn't take them long to reach the Nundos' restaurant after arriving in the city. They met only Clara attending the restaurant.

"Oh, you're back again, detectives." Clara relaxed her hands on the table. "Come with some good news?" She asked them.

"Well, we've come with more questions ma'am," Pius replied.

"Oh, just call me Clara please."

"Ok Clara. Um, is the girl's father available now?" Neko asked.

"Nope. Just me. He headed off to the market. You could have gone to our home first, her mom's always there these days." Neko sighed.

"We wanted to ask the father the questions. Her mother doesn't seem to be in em...the right state of mind?" Neko tried to sound cautious.
