"You can't even answer the simple question." Makela said, her tone sounded like she was being mean, but I could sense the actual... concern she had for me.
"It's not like that, you're his sister so I can't say what's on my mind to you." I responded, finally catching my voice back.
"That has nothing to do with it, people who aren't me are going to talk. And it'll be centered on how you were able to go after the one guy my brother could not stand. The guy who could compete with my brother's numerous conquests at school." She went on to lecture, not sugarcoating a word of what she said.
"This is West, the literal definition of trouble at that school." She added, prodding at an open wound.
"If my brother were to come back to school tomorrow, what would that mean for you and West?..." I cut her off with my shaky voice.
