Jasmine watched her leg bleed and gritted her teeth. It stung but it was enough for her to cave. She wanted Dairon to come. She needed him to come. She would never have admitted it with a knife on her throat before but the hope in her eyes couldn't be concealed as she counted down the minutes it would take for his arrival.
Bardumond didn't make a move to try and treat her wound, although watching her bleed out and not do anything about it was the hardest thing he had ever had to do.
She found a topic to talk about to keep her mind off the stinging sensation. "Why would Dairon give me his soul? We didn't even know each other." She looked up at Bardumond and waited for his answer.
She thought he would say that she had to ask Dairon or something along the lines. Instead, he smiled. "Because he wanted to."
"Thanks for the elaborate explanation." She smirked sarcastically.
