Chapitre 480: Stepping up

Malik rested his head on the bath basin feeling his fatigued body relax. He wanted nothing more than to sleep for days on end. 

Since he was in his safe place, he didn't put his guard up. He let all his worries fade away, concentrating on his beating heart and soft breaths. 

He didn't notice Maimuna slowly walking towards him. He snapped out of his mid-space when he felt her feet step into the bathtub. A genuine smile formed on his lips. 

Malik lazily opened his arms urging her to come to him. His love didn't hesitate to go to him. Maimuna moved until she was seated between his legs. 

Instead of resting on his chest, she gently moved his body enough for his head to rest on her chest. The Lord's smile stretched further if possible. 

He had missed such simple gestures of love. It felt like forever since they last had time to themselves. Maimuna's heart ached trying not to cry. It was painful for her to see her man like this.
