Chapitre 388: Making her Understand

Lahan had been lying in bed for a while and he was glad he wasn't alone. All his life, he had never truly felt completely free as he did at that moment.

His mind wasn't plagued by the heavy weight of revenge or taking back a throne that had always belonged to him. 

None of that. Instead, he felt liberated and free with nothing to hold him back from loving his beloved without any reservations. 

His gaze never strayed from Samira's face. An affectionate smile sat naturally on his face as though it had always been there. 

His ethereal features were a glow, such that if one stared longer than necessary, their eyes would be blinded by them. 

He cared for none of that. Only he knew how he was resurrected from the dead. The spirit of his throne and deities had his soul in their hold. 

They never wished for him to end up like that. When he made that sacrifice, he knew that most if not everyone would be unhappy about it.
