Chapitre 350: Soul, Blood and Tears

Marjan passed on the message about the new addition to the harem. With his authority as the King, it was easy to spread the news within seconds.

Standing outside his bedroom, his gaze lingered over the white pillowy clouds yet he found no comfort in them. The scenery that would normally calm him was depressing him now.

He closed his eyes trying to forget the image of his beloved vomiting blood. That was the price she paid for attempting to take the pain away.

The King accepted that he had been under a spell cast by more than one person. He agreed to be manipulated and almost taken advantage of.

What he failed to concede was that he was completely innocent. He wasn't. If he had been more careful none of what happened would have occurred.

He had failed as a ruler but his biggest failure was as a husband. He had broken the promise that he made to his beloved.
