Chapitre 306: Darkness and Light

Light and darkness never did well together or so people thought. However, Arif understood differently. He was the darkness. He belonged to the evil part of the world.

He was everything impure and much more. Once upon a time, he took pride in his identity as the one born of darkness, thriving in others' pain and enjoying being a sadist. 

He never thought that he could enjoy the light. Never once imagined he would be forever connected to it. Yet here he was, looking into the said light.

For the longest time, he believed that darkness had its kind of beauty. He believed that darkness ruled over light.

Contrary to his lifelong belief, another one took root in his heart. Nothing could beat the elation and contentment he felt looking at his lover. 

She was light. The complete opposite of his darkness. In her shine, he found hope for things he long gave up on. In her eyes, he found the love he longed for.
