Angelo rubbed at his temple for the umpteenth time. He didn't know what to do or where to start! If his sister had disappeared outside their home, he would have at least had a clue even though it's useless.
What had happened was out of his expectation. He had just left her alone for one hour and that was all it took for her to be gone. Thinking about it, no matter what he had done, this was inevitable.
The day was longer than usual. The meal tasted bland to the tongue. He had no appetite whatsoever but he couldn't starve himself.
Looking at the empty spot at the table, his fist balled up. She loves to eat. Is she alright? Has she had dinner yet? What about lunch? Were they starving her?
His heart ached at the thought. His beloved princess was a foodie. It was one way for her to vent her frustration and reenergize.
He, like their parents, ensured that she always had something to eat nearby. He felt a sudden urge to cry. She was his twin.
