Chapitre 125: Death

A piercing scream resonated in the air distracting everyone. Zamarad's eyes stayed on Warda, unbothered. She had a hunch about where the noise came from but spared no effort to move.

Time stood still for everyone. For this time, Warda was rescued from the jaws of death by no other than Ramlah and Zubeida. At first, the two have watched unaffected by everything that was happening.

Warda's death meant that they would be in a position of power after she was gone. At the last moment, however, Zubeida had an epiphany. She knew about Warda using a curse of Shahzad.

She was also well aware of the effect once the curse was reversed. Whether she dies in her son's hands or by the curse, Warda's days were already numbered.

Given that the woman was malicious and scheming, she was bound to have some secret desires. Saving her meant that eye could always share her secrets with the pair of mother and daughter.
