Breakfast was a quiet affair at the hybrid palace. Since Zamarad took off, the Queen was forced to call back all the maids who have been jobless all those years.

None of the two princesses could do half of what Zamarad used to do. Either the chores were too much or they felt too lazy to do it. Somehow, Rumi tried to take over the kitchen from time to time. Ramlah, on the other hand, didn't care.

She was a princess. As a princess, it was beneath her to do chores or little a finger for that matter. Khalid found it extremely hard to keep entertaining her. Staying with Amara in the wild changed his lifestyle and view on things.

He was more open-minded and accepted his faults. Additionally, he tried to make Rumi grow. But Ramlah was a different case. With how pampered she was, no one could tell her that she was wrong.
