Chapitre 85: Chapter 49 (A)

The next morning I woke up, there was a weird calmness in the atmosphere. A silence and peace. I felt oddly very relaxed despite of me being drained out of every last drop of energy in me last night. There was this satisfaction inside me. It was very odd. I had never felt something like that.

After sending a quick ‘good morning’ text to Ryan, I scurried off to bathroom to do my morning routine before getting ready for school. Jessica said she would pick me up today for school and after having breakfast, I waited for her to arrive.

I was so happy that mum and I were on good terms because I missed her kisses and hugs and her genuine broad smile. It had been a long time, I had that.

As I heard the horn of the car, I jumped up, kissed mom, hugged dad and sprinted out of the door. I approached her with a warm smile on my face. I didn’t know what was going on but everything seemed so peaceful to me.
