"Oh, hey, Noah." I turned around when I heard a familiar voice. It was Lyla.

"Hi" I beamed and extended my hand. She took it gently and shook it. She glanced at my mother and then I realized that I was at a store shopping grocery with my mother.

"Um... this... this is my mother." I introduced her.

"Mum, this... umm... this is-" Lyla cut me off.

"I'm his teacher." She said hurriedly. Mum looked confused. She glanced back and forth between me and Lyla.

"Oh, hi!" Mum shook her hand and gave her a smile.

"So, what do you teach him?" She asked Lyla who stood there looking at me with wide eyes.

"Umm... Literature." She spoke, silently asking me for help.

"Mum, she is here to buy stuff, just like we are, let's not disturb her." I tried to divert mum's attention from her but she was my mum, curious.

"How is he in Literature?" she asked her and ignored me like I wasn't standing there.
