Chapitre 23: The Fight Part 1
[You have resisted: Charm]
You can't be serious. Did she just try and use magic on me? That bitch.
She seemed to have noticed I hadn't fallen to her spell and looked at me in bewilderment. Before she could try any other tricks I hit her off the bed to the ground. I then stood between her and the doorway.
*Thud*
"What the fuck is wrong with you, why did you try and use charm magic on me?"
"how, how do you know I used that? It's a silent spell."
Instead of responding I went in to try and land another hit on her. She seemed ready to defend herself and shouted "[FIREBALL]". I was able to dodge it, but it was faster than it should have been; maybe this has to do with her intelligence level. The fireball hit the door behind me and begun spreading fire throughout the room.
"I guess were doing this the hard way"
[Darkness]
[Strength +6.5]
[Remaining Time - 4:59]
Noticing things weren't in her favor, she faced the window behind her and said "[Explode]". The window and the wall surrounding it combusted and crumbled as she quickly ran outside. I wasn't about to let her go that easily, so I gave chase. It was still raining outside, so using fire magic out here probably wouldn't be very effective right now.
"[Earth Wall]!"
Once heading outside a wall of rock erupted Infront of me blocking my view of Jasmine. I ran straight towards the wall and gave it a hefty punch. It had instantly shattered, but she then cast "[Water Lance]" which quickly launched out towards me.
[Blink]
I used blink to move towards her and avoid the spears in the way. I quickly appeared in front of her and attacked.
[Slash]
I swung my left hand towards her, and despite being a bit out of reach for hand to hand combat the slash reached her and left some decent wounds. Jasmine was pushed back a bit and fell to the ground. She will probably give up now knowing the difference between us.
As I was approaching her something unexpected happened.
"[Holy Light Heal]!"
A bright white light surrounded Jasmine and her wounds began healing. I turned around and saw Kris near the entrance of the inn casting magic; Hansel was there too but he didn't do anything yet. Were they under her spell too? Their stats were pretty bad, so they shouldn't be able to help much, but a fight will be more difficult if I have to worry about support.
Once I looked back Jasmine was mostly healed and began standing up from the ground.
"[Holy Light Enhance]"
Shit, really? Kris fell to the ground after casting that, I guess he used too much magic. Hansel began charging towards me with a dagger. Once he got within range I dodged his obvious attack and hit him to the ground. I then took his dagger since I needed a weapon and gave my attention back to Jasmine.
"[Magic Enhance], [Agility Enhance], [Intelligence Enhance]"
She had just finished buffing herself and seemed ready for a round two.
"[Water Wall]"
What is she thinking right now? I cant think of a good reason to use a wall of water in this situation. I rushed towards her and once I got closer she casted more water spears, this time I was prepared and avoided them without using [Blink], I then ran around the wall of water and used [Slash] again.
"[Barrier]"
My attack was negated, and before I could do anything else she raised her arm towards the water wall and casted another spell.
[Fireball]
A wave of steam shot out of the wall blocking my vision.
"Shit!"
I covered my eyes with my arm and a few seconds later I heard her speak another spell.
"[Teleport]"
Wait she can teleport?
I felt a hand on my back and before I could react another spell was cast.
"[Repress]"
I swung the dagger towards her, but she quickly backed up and avoided my attack.
What was that skill, what did she do?
A notification popped up in front of me stating...
[Mental Fortitude Disabled - Duration 1:59]
Oh no, oh no no no. That's bad, that's really bad. Why that skill.
I looked at Jasmine and instantly felt as if I had gotten tunnel vision, all I could see was her. I want her blood, I want her dead. I started salivating and drool began falling from my mouth. I grabbed my head and forced myself to look away. I can't keep myself under control.
"[Water Spear]"
A spear of water hit my left arm and that was the straw that broke the camels back; I fell to the ground and lost all rationality as I stared at Jasmine.
"Is that really all you got? Why don't you just give in and let me charm you, I promise you'll be happy. You cant win against me, so what do you say."
She reached her hand out and I stood up quietly while continuing to stare at her. A pair of black wings protruded from my back ripping some of my clothing in the process. The rain still fell on me and the inn still burned, but I couldn't feel the cold, the heat, any of it, all I could see was her, and all I could feel was an urge to kill.
