Chapitre 63: Predicament

While Rebecca and James were molesting each other, Leo and I continued eating our food. When I finished my lunchbox, I faced Leo and asked, "So, how's it going with your wrongful arrest lawsuit?"

Leo, who had finished much earlier than me, was watching James and Rebecca. After I asked my question, he turned and smiled at me. "Mhm. I have a meeting with the defendants and their lawyers tomorrow morning. The lawyer and my father discussed together and they want me to settle the case out of court, since a trial will take way too long and affect my studies."

I nodded. "Well, ask for as much money as you can from them, they did wrongfully jail you for almost 2 days after all."

"Aw... Hunter are you worried about me?" Leo said in a sarcastic tone and grabbed my arm, rubbing his cheek against it. "It's okay. My lawyer can handle it for me. I am only going tomorrow morning since the plaintiff and the defendant must both be there while the lawyers make the negotiations."
