When Ma Mian was in her high school before she and Yun Bai has met again, she was very low-key and would always wear that large glasses of hers. She did not incur any unnecessary attention towards her and was always alone in one corner.
Her grades were average as she desires them to be as such and has never gotten anything worth other's attention.
However, one day she saw the school beauty being assaulted by a group of students. The young woman did not have any courage to fight against these bullies and was frozen on the spot with tears in her eyes.
For some unknown reason, something in her mind suddenly snapped as she put on her hood to hide her face and removes her glasses then charges towards those bullies. She uses her bag as a weapon, and due to the books in her bag, some of them fell to the ground. Then she grabbed the school beauty's dainty hands and the two escaped the encirclement.
The school beauty thanked her and invited Ma Mian to her house to thank her.
When the two arrived in her home, Ma Mian met her older brother who has the same good feature as the school beauty.
The older brother's name is Choi Hao, the older brother of Choi Mei, the school beauty.
That was the start of the friendship and also the introduction of Martial Arts in the simple life of Ma Mian. But the friendship did not last that long because one day, the Choi family decided to transfer to another city.
The reason for this is because of the trouble that people are causing Choi Mei. Choi Hao fought back and injured one of the bullies. And because of the background of that person, the Choi family did not have a choice but to leave to prevent attracting any trouble.
Ma Mian could not forget her friend with the Choi siblings and even in college they still have constant communication.
Only, when Choi Mei went to another country for her doctorate degree and Choi Hao's mysterious job that the three lost communication.
But right now, she is looking at that familiar figure outside of the restaurant.
The more she looks at that handsome figure the more she became sure that it is really Choi Hao.
On the side, Yu Qi has also noticed the accident and knew that the guy who was hit was the person who threatened them a while ago.
"Humph… That's what he gets for being too arrogant… But hopefully, he is not hurt that badly." Yu Qi mocked but still showed concern in her eyes.
"I think he is fine… Do you want to go and see what is happening?" Ma Mian said with a slight smile on her face.
Yu Qi wanted to say something but Ma Mian has already left her seat and walked out of the door.
When outside, Ma Mian could see many thugs on the ground some are unconscious and others are groaning in pain.
She did not want to pay attention to these people as her figure passes through them and directly walks outside.
Yu Bai who is sitting calmly on one of the vacant tables while looking at the boss of the thugs kneeling on the ground noticed her running outside.
He showed a hint of concern as he stood up.
"Tell the Song family that Mr. Yu will be visiting them and will get answers for the unbridled action of their youngest son." Yu Bai said as he left without looking at the thugs on the ground.
Those who have dinned in this restaurant were all afraid and dare not look at the tall figure. Some women who saw his gallant yet proud figure have a look of awe and admiration in their eyes.
They saw how this man single-handedly takes down those thugs without causing too much of a mess in the restaurant. And in their eyes, he looks like some kind of a hero.
Meanwhile, Yu Qi saw the figure of Yu Bai and the thugs on the ground which made her have a look of shock in her expression. When she saw him going out, she followed suit.
Ma Mian slowly approached the handsome man wearing a black leather jacket while on the phone.
When she was standing behind the young man she hesitantly called out.
"Choi Hao… is that you?" she said with an uncertain tone.
When the man heard her voice, he suddenly turns around. When their eyes met, Choi Hao's expression changes from annoyance to happiness. Who would have known that he would meet someone whom he wanted to meet for a long time?
"Mian? Little Mian, is that you?" he said with a happy expression on his handsome face.
"It really is you!" Ma Mian said in happiness as she suddenly jumps in his embrace like a little girl.
Choi Hao has always treated his sister like this. And when he has gotten close to Ma Mian, he also treated her as his sister and likes to hug her.
So this thing is normal between them.
Who would have known that this action was seen by Yu Bai who has followed Ma Mian out of the restaurant?
With his burning gaze, Yu Bai could not help but glare at the handsome young man hugging his wife. He truly wanted to rush towards the two and give that guy a taste of his fist.
"Oh… it seems that Ma Mian is close to that person. Hmm… He is not that bad…" Yu Qi who is following behind Yu Bai blurted while looking at Ma Mian and the man in surprise.
Before she could notice it, Yu Bai has already stepped forward with his eyes filled with jealousy. He arrives next to the two and suddenly grabbed Ma Mian's hand and separated the two.
"Why would you cling to a stranger?" Yu Bai said in an angry tone.
Ma Mian was surprised as she did not expect someone to suddenly get angry with her at this time.
But before she could react, she noticed that the two men are looking at each other with fierce eyes. Then suddenly, the sound of an ambulance came followed by some police cars.
Yu Bai noticed this and sneered. He could not help but feel really jealous right now and wanted to grab his wife and hug her. She is his wife and no one should hug her especially in front of him.
