"Nice to meet you again, Roxanne."

Roxanne… that's her name. It felt like she had not heard someone call her name for so long that it sounded foreign to her.

"It's strange."

"What is?"

"I was sure we would never meet again, but… you ended up being my fiancé."

Declan chuckled in amusement. "What a small world we have."

"What do you want?" asked Roxanne without beating the bush.

"I like your directness."

Declan surprised her by giving a peck on her lips. That was… unexpected.

Roxanne took a deep breath when she realized Declan wasn't pulling away, and their faces were still so close that she could feel his breath.

The cornered girl wanted to back away, but this bed's headrest had become an obstacle for her to retreat.

"You said you want to talk to me." reminded Roxanne as she remembered what Declan had said to her alter side.
