Chapitre 29: A Talk with Kuina
After Koushiro left, Alex was left in the forest and it was not known what was on his mind. Alex stayed this way for about ten minutes and when he got up, he had a bright face that showed he had a revelation and that he knew what step he would take. So Alex left the forest with a lot of gains.
After his spar with Koushiro, Alex met up with Franco and told him about the spar with Koushiro and what he had learned from Koushiro. Franco wasn't surprised at Koushiro's win because he already knew of his strength when he first saw him at the time when they were hiding behind the bush. So he just nodded while listening to his captain's excited expression saying "The world is really big, right Franco? There are so many strong people and we're just in the East Blue! How strong are the people in the Grandline?" Franco replied "Yeah, it is really big. But we just have to get strong enough and they'll be no problem." Alex just nodded and they went back to the dojo.
As they went back to the dojo, they saw Robin reading books about the history of Shimotsuki Village in the library. While Braga was cooking with the chefs in the kitchen trying to learn their way of cooking as it was all new to him. While Fraulein was doing spars with the students and was getting beaten but was getting better and better with the sword. 'He really is weapon genius' thought Alex as he saw Fraulein's skill with the weapons because of his quick progress. When they went inside, they just rested in a corner because both of them were tired and haven't had a good rest as they spent most of the time in their ship.
Then nighttime came and the village looked very beautiful in the night as it looked like an old Japanese village with its lanterns and small compounds. It was peaceful and Alex and the crew enjoyed walking around the village. After walking around, they went back Koushiro's dojo to eat dinner because Koushiro invited them.
While they were eating dinner, Zoro and Kuina were asking Alex about his techniques because they saw his spar with Koushiro. Alex just smiled and told them about his technique and how he made it with his pops. They were amazed because he created his own sword art at a young age. This fueled Zoro and Kuina's determination as they wanted to surpass him even more now. So Alex asked them what their dream was and both of them answered ""THE STRONGEST SWORDSMAN"" Alex was surprised both of their answers said good luck but quickly asked Kuina "EH? How are you going to be the strongest swordsman if you're a girl?" Kuina heard this and had tears in eyes as she ran out of the dining hall. Alex, realizing his poor choice of words, got his head bonked by Franco while saying "Stupid Captain don't you know how to keep your mouth shut." Alex tried to defend himself by saying he didn't finish what he was saying yet. So Alex went out to look for Kuina.
As he was looking for Kuina, he heard someone swinging a sword, so he followed where the sound was. When he was getting closer to the sound, he saw Kuina swinging her sword with tears in her eyes. He calls out to her "KUINA! I want to talk to you." but Kuina doesn't want to talk to him as she says "GO AWAY! YOU'RE ALL THE SAME! YOU ALL KEEP TELLING ME I CAN'T ACHIEVE MY DREAM JUST BECAUSE I'M A GIRL! WELL WATCH ME BECAUSE I'M GOING TO PROVE YOU WRONG!" after saying that she dropped the sword and curled up while crying. Alex knew he messed up badly and is currently thinking of how to resolve the situation. After being silent for a moment, he walked up to Kuina, sat beside her and patted her head while saying "I believe in you Kuina, but you didn't let me finish what I was saying because you ran out. I was going to say if you can't be the best swordsman, then become the strongest swordswoman. I believe in your potential Kuina you just have to work harder since you know you're a girl and you're starting point in terms of strength is way behind us boys. Just don't give up on your dream, tone out the people who don't believe in you and believe in yourself. I believe in you Kuina and who knows after you become the strongest swordswoman, you might become the strongest sword user and you'll be at the top. Work hard Kuina and I look forward to your future achievements. Come on let's go back to the dojo. Your dad might be worried about you." then Alex stood up and held Kuina's hand as they went back to the dojo.
The next morning came and Alex and his crew were about to leave, when they saw Koushiro, Zoro, Kuina, and the other villagers saying goodbye to them. Alex and his crew just thanked them for taking care and letting them live here for a day. Just before they left Alex went up to Koushiro and said while bowing "Koushiro-san thank you for your guidance. I will remember what you said and will apply it to my training." Koushiro just nodded and patted his shoulder and said "I know you will." then Alex went to Kuina and patted her little head as he said "Train hard Kuina I will be looking forward to your achievements in the future." and lastly he went to Zoro then said "Good luck Zoro on your dream I know you can reach it. By the way, your sword style is interesting come look for me in the Grandline when you can set sail. But before that, train hard and polish your style." then he left and went towards the boat but then said something just before he boarded "Oh and Zoro, there's a man named Dracule Mihawk who is the strongest swordsman in the world. You would have to beat him if you want the title." then boarded the ship as they set sail and left Shimotsuki Village. Zoro who heard what Alex said nodded and was determined to beat the guy named Dracule Mihawk as he left to train harder than ever.

ImStar0710 My novel will still follow the canon timeline, but since my OCs would be added there are more things that would change in the One Piece World. This novel is just a product of my ideas that I got while I was reading about One Piece.
