"Stop asking, I didn't have nor am I hiding a baby," Shi Xiaonian repeated dryly for the 1000th time during another bombardment of interrogation.
After the psychologist departed, she slid against the wall before cradling in a squatting position, her pale fingers interlocked beneath her hair.
{When will this torture end?}
She was trapped in this heaven-looking hell every day, unable to escape. And for what? A child that didn't exist!
"Uh~" A woman's alluring moan teased the air, "Mr. Gong, I— we can't do this here…"
Curious, Shi Xiaonian stood up and crept her way towards the door. Peaking through the vertical gap, she saw a woman in silk pyjamas being pressed against the wall in the corridor. Her body squirmed seductively, causing the smooth straps of the pyjamas to slide down her arms
Gong Ou, who was standing in front, used the opportunity to kiss and caress the woman's snowy shoulders with his lips. His eyes glinted with the look of a wolf that was savouring a precious lamb.
"Mr. Gong— uhmmph...we can't…" Though the woman spoke like this, she raised her chin and allowed him to do whatever he wanted, her expression showing hints of enjoyment and glee.
"By the way, mhhm— Mr. Gong, when will Linlin get that special position?" Xie Linlin managed to speak amidst her intermittent gasps.
"What position do you want?" Gong Ou's warm breath tickled her skin but his voice was comparatively cold. It was as if the intimate position they were in was only a phantom dream.
"I don't expect to be your girlfriend or anything. Just being one of the many well-deserved women by your side is good enough. Don't worry, I'll be very sensible and won't gibber nonsense in front of the media. Is that okay?" Xie Linlin hurried to add after hearing the frigidity in his voice.
"You are indeed good to look at."
"Thank you, Mr. Gong. I'll definitely do my best."
"Smart."
Gong Ou nipped her neck for a final time before hugging her into his embrace. Two silhouettes soon disappeared down the corridor, their footsteps echoing throughout the empty hallway.
Shi Xiaonian, who beheld the entire scene behind the cover of the door, gazed after them with eyes full of hostility.
{This man is such a disgusting, perverted beast. And that woman— women like her who are willing to be one amongst countless others actually exist?}
"Wasn't it said that they were also looking for a suitable marriage partner? Yet, he still has the nerve to be fooling around with other women. The upper-class of society is so dirty…" she quietly whispered to herself.
Shi Xiaonian opened the door before making her way up the hall, opposite the direction the duo went.
She walked aimlessly about the luxurious castle, admiring the paintings along the way.
Gong Ou was indeed deserving of the title: 'the richest man in the world'. It was rare to even see copies of these famous paintings, but many of them here were authentic works.
This was one of her only pastimes during her depressing imprisonment.
After staring at a particular painting for a while, her mood soon recovered. Now that she was somewhat calm, her stomach made its own plight known. Due to the endless questioning sessions, she had barely eaten properly for well over two days.
Ignoring the two bodyguards following her, Shi Xiaonian wondered around the maze-like castle before finally finding the kitchen
The kitchen was spacious and clean, its interior decorated with all sorts of equipment and cooking utensils. The maids and chefs performed their respective duties without getting distracted by her sudden appearance.
Shi Xiaonian didn't bother them, only going into the refrigerator to see what ingredients there were; no one stopped her.
The refrigerator was large and was packed to the brim with food. Vegetables and meat were separated orderly and neatly. There was even a compartment containing fresh, live fish and other seafood that cowered within their fish tanks upon seeing her.
{I haven't had fish soup in a very long time.}
Shi Xiaonian picked up a dip net, using it to scoop up a frolicking black fish. She then made her way towards an unused cooking counter before skillfully preparing the fish. She gutted it, removed the scales and fins, and used the knife to slit diagonal fillet lines on its belly. The high-quality, sharp knife sliced the fish as if it was butter.
She didn't like using a lot of powdered, spicy seasonings in her food so she crushed a few tomatoes, sweet peppers and such as ingredients instead. The simmering tomato fish soup exuded a mouth-watering aroma from the pot.
"Master."
Suddenly, a voice called out.
Oh nah~ Forget about her food. She herself will have to be worried about getting turned into a meal.
