David drew his claws and placed them on the walls beside him. It was an enclosed space, so he would have an easier time, knowing that the monsters were almost in a single file line, ready to be skewered one by one.
Though they were low ranked, the monsters still had some intelligence, seeing that the human-like monster in front of them was not something they can merely overwhelm with numbers, at least not in this space, so they left.
Seeing that they left, David uncasted {Earth Spike}, making it back into a normal hallway.
David took all the monster bodies and began dismantling them, slowly becoming better at using his {Scaling Dismantling Knife}.

'Ohh...this is quite a nice surprise...a chain quest. Though it would be better if there were other rewards...' David looked at the screen in front of him.
He waved, swiping the system interface away before walking down the stairs, ready for a fight.
Walking down the stairs, there was a whole new area, well, not entirely, as it was still a cave. Instead of it being filled with crystals, it was now all dirt and rocks, as if the materials were all taken by one dominant species here.
Drawing his claws out, he quickly starts running from memory, quickly reaching the nest in around an hour of running at full speed, using a lot less stamina than he thought.
He dispatched the wandering ants working and as he got closer, the more he needed to start using a bit more magic to hold them off. He even had to use {Transform} to grow his tail back so he could swing some ants away, leaving the stronger ones to die as he pierced their cores.
The ants also became more diverse as he walked closer and closer to what seems to be one of the branch nests. Some ants had bigger abdomens, shooting hotter lava, some with bigger mandibles, and even some with magic capabilities, making the ground shoot up with lava and spikes.

'Now this! This! Is a challenge!' David slashed another ant apart, ready to tear the rest of the ants apart by himself as he didn't even seem that tired.
He was running around, quickly slaying the army of ants, though it was quite annoying that he had to constantly dodge the lava sprayed by the ants in the rear. Killing the front lines and making a hole in their formation, David jumps over everything and immediately massacres the entire rear part of the army.
Due to the small rampage, he was having, David's scales were scratched by the mandibles from the ants and some stray lava as well.
David widens his eyes as if he just snapped out of something and stomps on the ground, creating spikes all around him, clearing another hole in the ant's forces.
Now, instead of making a precise and sharp spike, needed to aim at specific places, David imagined a large wall, before a two-layer magma wall closed behind him, blocking the ants from coming in as even they didn't have absolute immunity to lava, especially from those with superior races.

Swiping the notification screen away, David rushed to the location he needed to be in. He actually saw a large gate, which seems to be crudely made, though sturdy at the same time, maybe even multiple layers of defense backing it up.
David spread his hands in the air, before clasping his hands together to hammer down onto the wall, breaking the first few layers. He continued to hammer down the gates as they all seemed to have different regions in this ant society.
This expectedly took quite a long time as David had to also hold back multiple ants nearby while also killing them quickly enough so the rest of the ants wouldn't be alerted.
Finally breaking through the last wall after an hour of hard work, David wiped his sweat, panting a bit.
'Where the damn boss at?' David cracked his knuckles and his neck in excitement.
Walking around in the tunnel filled with pheromones, David can only start searching from here on out as the memory of the ant didn't reach to the queen's room, but at most where the brood used to be.
David had gone through many tunnels, slowly searching for the branch ant queen.
Due to the massive size of it all, he actually had to camp multiple times and was almost forced to eat the flame ants he killed.

After the third day of exploring, David had found a giant door, though this time, it's slightly more...majestic? Even though it seemed more luxurious due to the use of metals instead of the earth, it was still quite crude.
David quickly got excited over the giant door in front of him, especially due to the fact he could clearly sense the aura of anger directed towards him growing stronger every second.
Before he could even touch the door, he moaned in complaint.
"Mother! Fucker! Can you just leave me alone for a fucking hour!?" David roared, knowing full well that these ants were here to defend their mother/queen.
Quickly jumping over the ants by front flipping, these few days gave him an extraordinary amount of experience to hone his skills, at using his claws to the best he could, though there could be some things he could improve on, even with his {Correction}.
He impatiently, yet gracefully dispatched the entire army of ants in a few minutes, leaving a large pile of corpses under him.
Squinting his eyes, he saw the giant gate slowly open. David pursed his lips before smiling. He then felt a large pressure press down on his shoulders, making him involuntarily kneel.
Although his legs were shaking, he was shaking from overall excitement. He slowly got up from his knees and looked up at the enormous 'thing' in front of him.
