Chapitre 45: 45. Devil's Spawn
In her room RuQian was trying to recollect everything she knew about Master Liu. After her shower, she changed into some pink, cotton pajamas. These were her favorites when she was a teenager.
That preference changed as she got older. She could not suddenly change her favorite colors or would easily get caught. So, she was slowly filling her closet with black, grey and purple clothes, so as not to raise any suspicion.
She combed her black hair, until it was straightened out, then sat down in front of her computer. Her eyes widened when she saw what had happened.
RuQian had made a bug and had placed it in her internal system similar to a normal computer virus. This bug would not hinder the working of the system in anyway.
She wanted to make sure her computer was safe and would not be hacked so she had set up some traps but if a hacker was too good, they could get into her computer.
If a hacker was able to get past all those traps, the final way to gain access of her computer was to pass the bug. If someone did pass through the bug, it would be activated and would record everything from then on.
So even if a hacker tried to cover his tracks, RuQian would still know what they had done. The bug could not be destroyed and any normal person would only think of it as a very minor virus and wouldn't care about it. The bug was similar to an intruder alarm but instead of making noise it would quietly record everything.
As RuQian sat in front of her computer, she saw the bug was activated. She had made this bug in her previous life for her personal computer and she had done the same in this life.
In her past life, the bug had never once been activated, even when she had been managing a million dollar company, how was the bug activated now?
Who would be so interested in a teenage girl as to hack into her computer? It was not an easy task to perform either. She had set up plenty of traps to make sure this wouldn't happen.
But she was relieved knowing there wasn't much information on her computer to be fatal for her in anyway. She put the recording aside for now, deactivated the bug and searched for information on Master Liu.
Master Liu Ren was slightly younger than her mother, most of his information was erased, which was very clear as there were many blanks. Very little was available about him. This put together with RuQian's memory completed most of the story.
An orphan, abandoned at the roadside when he was three or four years old, did not remember much about his parents.
He was taken in by a nearby orphanage, when he was a teenager he was kidnapped by a local gang to be sold as labor. He was able to escape from captivity somehow and had met a stranger.
This stranger happened to be Master Baozi who was the notorious leader of the underworld gang Black Angels.
Master Baozi took in the teenager, trained the boy himself. The boy was not a successor but was close to him. The teenager soon grew up and helped around by managing the gang when Master Baozi wasn't around.
When Master Baozi suddenly disappeared, everyone expected Master Liu to take on the role of the leader but another had taken his place, this man was said to be Master Baozi's choice.
Many thought Master Liu would retaliate but they were wrong. Turned out, Master Liu had never wanted the reigns and had himself helped the successor learn everything.
No one other than RuQian knew how well Master Liu actually treated Mu Chen. Ever since his teenage years, Mu Chen was doted on by Master Liu.
Master Baozi was the one who was strict on the boy, not Master Liu. RuQian never knew Mu Chen was being groomed for the leadership, she just thought Master Baozi was teaching him a few techniques.
But she was wrong. Black Angels was the most feared gang in this country. Their base was in a secret location and the gang had been passed on to different generations.
RuQian already had a lot on her plate and now two more issues were added. She had to find out why Master Liu had come here. Did he want to see if she remembered Master Baozi? And what if she did?
And she also had to find out who it was that hacked into her computer. RuQian sighed in exhaustion and made her way downstairs.
'Let's deal with the first problem for now. I can deal with the second one later.'
Downstairs, her grandfather and Master Liu were discussing some details, they abruptly stopped when she appeared, she already heard the gist of it.
They were discussing the timings RuQian could practice with Master Liu, seeing as she had school in the morning. RuQian did not have the luck to be able to learn from Master Baozi but she would make use of this opportunity.
If she had been old enough Master Baozi would have taught her himself, she was sure of that but she did not have a chance now.
Liu Ren glanced at RuQian. The girl was wearing a cute pink pajama set. If he had not seen the murderous intent in her eyes earlier, he would've thought of her as an innocent teenager.
But he knew better now. This girl was a devil's spawn! RuQian smirked when she saw Master Liu's expression, she was not going to hide her animosity from this man. She wanted to see what he would do.
"Xiao Qian, you're here. Sit down, let's talk." Her grandfather clearly wanted to discuss the details quickly.
"Grandfather, I am feeling hungry. Why don't we discuss while we eat." RuQian suggested, she was feeling hungry and it did not look like she would be able to sleep anytime soon.
RuQian sighed to herself, 'I have been feeling sleepy ever since I was in the meeting room, and I haven't been able to sleep for this long.'
RuQian really wanted to pout, throw a fit, then go sleep but there was a lot of work yet to be done. Well, the night was young.
