Chapitre 140: Chapter 140: WHAT SCARY FATE

Ken's POV:

I couldn't help but let out a few tears,

When I saw the person who's getting near.

She smiled at me, and I smiled back,

She quickly ran up to me, and gave me a hug.

I held her tightly, still not believing my luck,

My friend I haven't seen for a while, now truly back.

I searched for any wound, as she laughs at my worry,

I saw no injury inflicted, and I felt the worry washing from me.

What I saw however, was a ring colored blue,

I didn't remember her having one, so it's undeniably new.

She saw me, and rose it up,

"This was given to me, by my saviour, I treasure it so much."

I nodded my head, but questions were flooding,

How did she get here? How is she here with no injury?

Even Mar had some few scars to prove what happened to her in prison,

How they fight for food, how they claw each other before her salvation.

I gave those thoughts away,

Just happy she came home this way.

I heard Selaphiel and Gabriel suddenly arguing,

"All the tears I shed! And you came back without even trying!"

The blue angel Gabriel yelled, as Sir Selaphiel gave a small smile,

"Not my fault I've seen a doctor, I wish I had this luck latch on me for a while,"

"You! You get all those tears I shed back, Sir!"

"I told you I'll come back, heh, stop being a loser."

I glanced at Sir Michael, and saw how he smiled at the sight,

Relief painted in his face as he saw everything's alright.

Mar approached us suddenly, and hugged Stacy the same,

Crying that our big sister is back, hoping this is the most of our pain.

Archangel Selaphiel breaks the reunion, as he looks at Stacy knowingly,

"Ah, I'm...I'm the one to cure his friend, so please lead me."

"What??? I thought...wait, what?"

Gabriel was in deep shock.

"I thought you...you just resqued her and...

But she's a demon? What in the heavens-"

"She's human. Although I do feel power spiraling inside her,

She told me back then, she was trained as a witch doctor.

She was forced to learn them, and punished if she didn't,

She could help us, so please be calm, still."

"I thought you brought a demon! Thank goodness!"

"I did saw one, but I couldn't just bring him here,"

"Yeah, don't. This is the best possible outcome there is,"

Praise the Lord. Now there's a few things to fear."

Archangel Gabriel then calmed down,

As Archangel Barachiel and Jegudiel celebrated in the background,

Their smile and cheery eyes contrasted that of Archangel Raphael's,

Who looked unhappy, though a bit far from us, I could tell.

Raphael eyed Stacy in a wary look,

But he had always been the one to feel cautious.

I can't blame him, after all, there's still no confirmation,

If we should be relieved, in this type of situation.

...

(Callista's room)

Ken's POV:

Stacy opened her bag filled with different sorts of liquid.

As I watch quite amazed, how she then began mixing it.

She mixed three colors, which were blue, red and green,

And I still didn't know, how the water mixed turned out clear.

"Impressed or confused?" asked Stacy as she glanced at my direction,

"Both, I guess?" I replied with no hesitation.

She smiles and pours the liquid to a glass of water,

"If you don't mind, I'd like you to be the one to give this to her."

I followed, and took the glass from her,

As I walked up to Callista's bed, who I think didn't stop from getting weaker.

She looked at me, with tears in her eyes,

As I gave her the glass, trying a comforting smile.

Callista took it from me,

Drinking the clear liquid slowly,

After a while, she looked utterly confused,

"How did the pain go away this quickly? I'm very amused."

"Ah, the demon child is just hungry,

So you just had to take that sort of liquid,

But I need to get more ingredients,

But as far as I know, they're only available in the palace,"

I felt conflicted at the realization,

For the still innocent child's sake, I guess we had to go on retrieving missions,

But when I turned around I saw a trembling Callista,

"Did you said my child is a demon?" "Wait, you didn't have any idea?"

Stacy came closer, as she calmed the weeping angel down,

"This cannot be! Oh poor fate of my future daughter or son!"

"What do you expect from a union with a demon?

Most definitely, they'd take after their father."

"But then he is bound to evil!"

"I...hey, but don't tell me you'd kill,"

"I am confused myself! I was hoping this child would at least be like me,

From the sinful indulgence of the world, I'd rather have him free!"

I felt my chest tightened, watching the scene,

As I heard the steps of Archangel Lluming.

His presence, made Callista stop crying,

As he looked at Stacy, "She's very worrisome, it'd be better if we leave her resting."

He glanced at me too, and gestured us to leave,

As Stacy and I looked at each other, and followed his lead,

Before Lluming went away too, he looked at Callista one more time,

As finally, he left her be, as I heard her begin to cry.

...

I walked towards my room, quietly thinking to myself,

Until I fell asleep, from all the strain my body felt.

I was expecting for a dream, a vision of some sort,

But a nightmare was what's brought.

A hundreds of black spikes, and shadowy monsters,

Circled me, as I felt the clear aura of danger,

Even then, I tried to activate my powers,

But saw it hindered null, and I felt my fear getting stronger.

I haven't had such nightmares in a while,

And I didn't really expect they'd manifest this time.

I saw a no clear signs of escape,

As I wondered if this would be my fate.

Voices chanted my name,

As I reconignized them all,

They were voices from people I knew,

Repeating those again, those dreaded words.

I felt my knees begin to shake,

As my spirit falter and break.

I couldn't help but recall the time where I could only keep to myself and cry,

No one to turn to,

Trying to blend in, but nothing ever goes well though I try.

I couldn't do anything as the black shadowy figures come closer and closer,

Devouring everything else I see, as I couldn't dare move in any direction,

And just then, I heard the voice of my brother,

Telling me I'm going to lose, so it's better to surrender.

I was about to turn around,

When a hand covered my face,

Twisting my neck as I felt myself lose consiousness,

It felt so real as I it left my body-my very last breath.

I jolted out awake, panting and scared,

As I look at the room, but saw no one else.

I still felt it in my body, the hands, the pointed thorns,

I felt it prickle my skin, cut me slow and soft.

I couldn't make out a word,

Did I just saw my death flash into my eyes?

Or...was it just a senseless dream?

Created by my anxietic mind?

I panted and panted, praying that my breath would slow down,

But recalling the events, my visions becomes more bizarre now.

I felt so sad. I was about to forget all the pitiful things painted in my past,

But...they kept haunting me, and I know it wouldn't be its last.

Those...sleepless nights, contemplating if I should kill myself,

As I felt invisible, important to no one else,

A name the world, will never remember,

I felt depressed, watching everyone use me,

then dispose of.

And hurt myself or not, mom wouldn't care,

Brother was her treasure, all she talks of every day,

Jealousy and wrath, how they haunt me,

As I felt like I had nothing else to keep.

I had myself lost contact with the real world,

I'm sure...perhaps these things, I've already told.

I felt so miserable, I was well fed, but my soul was hungry,

I kept looking for friends, but why is this world filled with fakery?

How ironic that it took the world to start ending,

Before I had the motivation to keep on living,

These circumstances, pushed me to be better,

And refrain from locking myself out, as I slowly wither.

I felt more alive..than I was once locked in my room,

Remembering the confusion and surrealness, when I first saw those creatures from the window.

I-

Someone is standing in my room,

I saw her figure, standing in the blanket that covers it whole,

I felt silly, as the person broke my monologue,

I stood up quickly, my body felt cold.

"Eh, Stacy? What are you doing here?"

"Just delivering your first meal!"

I accepted it, then saw Mar on the right,

She was holding a tray of food, but somehow looked surprised.

"Hi, Mar!" I greeted her as usual,

As she smiles back, though her expression looked dull.

Just as then, I felt Stacy kiss my cheek,

As I backed away quickly, unable to speak.

Mar quickly came between us, still holding the tray,

"I'm sorry to inform you, but while you're away,

We decided to be an item, and for now I'd treat it as nothing,

But please, my good friend Stacy, don't try it again," "I...I'm sorry."

Mar looks at me, but did not give any hateful expression,

She then leaves, as I still feel the tension.

Wait...Stacy likes me? Since when?

I thought she was just a sister,

"I'm sorry for causing problems."

"Ah, that? Uh, it's okay I guess,

I was just surprised, you did it so sudden,"

"I...should have told you my feelings earlier,

You'd choose me, right? If I confessed sooner?"

Uh...I'm getting more uncomfortable,

But what should I say?

I don't really know any better...
