"What---"
"Leave." He said, his eyes cold under the soft yellow light that lit up the hallway.
Tears misted in her eyes, before she could even control it but she blinked them away as fast as she could.
"This, again?"
"You will never really have a place here." He replied, his voice low.
She scoffed, "I already have a place here."
He let out a frustratied gasp, rubbing his palm across his face before looking at her once again.
"Leave. Why won't you just leave?" His voice was still low and controlled but the desperation was plain in it.
Knowing how much he wanted her to disappear hurt her, somehow.
She parted her lips, sucking in a deep breath through her mouth in a bid to let in air to free her throat from the chokehold of restrained tears. But a drop had betrayed her nevertheless and it ran down her left cheek, she wiped it away quickly.
"I want to stay and I will."
"Lady Diamant," he called out firmly, his voice now cold too.
