In the Loud House's basement, Lucy Loud is sitting at a little table surrounded by ceremonial candles.
Her little head was bowed down and from her lips, a strange murmuring was heard.
The day was long gone letting the cold night take control over the town.
Even if her family was long asleep Lucy was still up trying to take advantage of the full moon that watch her in the sky to say her spells.
After a while, her head lifts slowly. Since Lincoln disappeared she didn't care about anything than finding him. However, she couldn't do much despite her maturity and understanding of the real world she is still just a kid.
The only silver lighting in that dark situation was her great-grandmother's spellbook where there were plenty of spells for locating your dear ones.
That's why every night she just closes herself in the most quiet and secure place in the house and tries to find her brother.
It was a complete failure...

Her heart almost jumped out from her little chest.
Her head snapped down and started to say the spell quietly as she could like last time but now it was more lively and clearer.
She hear whispering a lot of whispers but all the voices were so distorted that she couldn't understand anything
When she stopped to take a breath...

"...Li...Lincoln?..."
The little girl ask almost sobbing hoping with desperation that she would receive a positive answer.

Her trembling lips open slowly but before to even ask a question all the candles got off by themself, letting Lucy in total darkness with a little smile on her face.
She almost jumped off the cold hard ground and run up the stairs.
Upstairs in her parent's bedroom were sleeping the Loud parents.
Lynn senior hold his dear wife in his arms. He was still awake not getting sleep for some time.
He was just happy that his dear wife was finally sleeping but he could see the traces of her tears on her still red face from the corner of his tired eyes.
He let out a tired sign careful to not wake up his wife and stare at the ceiling.
He was thinking of his dear son.
The only male in a sea of sisters, the first that help him to put the little ones to sleep when the oldest daughters were stuck in their own problems, and of course Lincoln always volunteered to help the big sisters too.
Some people think that Lincoln and him don't really have such a close relationship like his wife and their only son.
However, he liked to believe that they were wrong.
On the nights when they read goodnight stories to the young ones, they would change their voices to match the characters, and if one was getting tired the other one was there to finish the story.
... heh... He lost the count the times he ended up falling asleep in the middle of a goodnight story having Lincoln to drag him to his bedroom.
The hundreds of times when he couldn't figure if his new recites were good and Lincoln would volunteer immediately the days when his daughters would be careful what they would eat for a reason or another.
He remembered that one day he came up with so many new recipes that he couldn't fit them on the table! Lincoln not only ATE everything faster than even humanly possible but he also gave his honest opinion that sounded almost professional!
Not even today he couldn't stop himself smiling when he remembered his slim son eating like a starving animal after to give his opinion with such calmly face like he didn't eat triple his weight and still keep his slim body.
Even now those memories brought a little smile on his face and made his vision a bit foggy because of his tears.
"Wh-why are you smiling?"
His head turns towards his wife that watching with her beautiful eyes filled with curiosity and a bit of tiredness.
He turns his head back to the ceiling and says with a melancholy smile.
"Remember the day when I came up with that huge amount of recipes and Lincoln eat them all?"
Her eyes open wide remembering.
"Pfff hahaha..."
"Ye-yeah I remember you made so many that you had to use the dinner table and still couldn't fit all of them."
"Yeah, only after I finished making all of them did I realize what I did."
His wife let out a giggle he also widened his smile.
"When I heard that only Lincoln volunteered to eat all that food I was so worried that he would get sick! I ran to the dining room and then I saw Lincoln already eating half of that mountain of food and still eating like he was possessed! I almost called Lucy to break the spell!"
Both began to laugh softly.
"I was sincerely thinking that Lisa put a black hole in his stomach!"
Confess Lynn with a sheepish smile looking at his wife.
"Way ahead of you! I asked her immediately after he finished eating and she swore she didn't it"
Rita remembers when she ran towards the dining room hearing the sounds of crunching, biting, and growling in that exact moment she could swear with her hand on her heart that they belong to a starving wild wolf! When she saw her son eating like he was starving for 10 years she immediately started to search for her husband only to realize that he was staying frozen next to the table with his mouth open large.
The exact posture and expression she was blocked on the doorstep when she looked back at her son and saw him stuffing in his mouth a bowl of spaghetti and an entire steak at the same time.
She tried to suppress a laugh but she simply couldn't.
"I remember how jealous I was of Lincoln that day."
"Huh?"
Her head turn toward his face and looked at his face. He looked at her with a face that clearly said "serious?".
"Not only did he eat that huge amount of food but he didn't get sick or even gain even a bit of weight! Heck! He even asked for seconds the next day! "
His wife's jaw dropped slightly remembering that day her large open and surprised eyes brought a smile to her face.
Both of them began to laugh louder this time. Since their son disappear they almost forgot how to smile or laugh.
Her husband looked at his wife. Her smile lit her beautiful face that even after these years he couldn't help his heart skip in his chest, he kissed her head and he closed his eyes almost entering the dreamland.
*riiign *riiing*
If it wasn't for the phone. He sighs and turns his head to see who in his right mind would call him at...
10 pm?!
It better be good. He was ready to get up but a soft hand on his chest stopped him and the soft voice of his wife telling him.
"I got it."
He smiled and close his tired eyes.
Rita got up and walked to the living room from where the phone was ringing continuously.
She got the phone to her ear and heard a manly voice that sounded even more tired than her husband.
"Sorry for calling at this hour. I'm Dr. Smith from the Royal Woods Hospital"
"Yes? Did something happen?"
It is not the first time when the hospital is calling at the Loud house. Lynn often gets in accidents and for some time she would get in multiple fights, Leny is very clumsy, Lori often hits or trip herself when the phone steals her attention, and Luna and Luan got themself hurt sometimes when they slip off the stage.
They visited a lot the hospital for various reasons but this was the first time when they called at this hour.
"Mrs. Loud your missing son Lincoln Loud was found..."
The second time when that phone got dropped and the second time when Rita Loud cry next to the phone.
Her husband heard something drop and her cries and he didn't think too much when his eyes shot open and jump off the bed, running towards his wife that was crying with her hand covering her mouth.
"Honey, what happened?"
Compared to the last time this day when she cried next to the phone when she dropped her hands and looked up at her husband he didn't saw a face with so much sorrow that it broked his heart.
No, he saw a face full of hope, happiness, and a large smile that his mind got blank.
"The-they found Lincoln... they finally found Lincoln!"
