Chapitre 28: Growing Stronger (R-18)

Lately, with all of the training Death had done, he had reached level 250 and had a lot of points left to allocate to his stats. 668 in total, in fact. After doing a little math in his head he realized that he could get Strength, Defense, Arcane and Resistance each to 500, and he'd still have 40 points left to allocate, so he did that as he was leaving Ozpins office.

As Death had expected, 500 was his next milestone, and his +40 to each of these stats turned into +65, which naturally was a nice bonus. He also had 800 points that he could divide between Health, Wrath, Aura and Mana, but Mana was his lowest so he dumped all his points into that, since it would certainly be useful eventually.

While it was true that his semblance let his mana replenish at an insane rate, he still could not cast spells that required more mana then he could naturally hold. If he had assigned those stat points before he had fought Arthur Watts, he probably wouldn't have needed to even use his Reaper Form, considering that his level was nearly caught up with Ozpin, meaning that in terms of level only Ozpin and Salem were above him.

Death decided to leave one avatar still with Amber, while he decided to have eleven more enter Instance Dungeons to grind more shop points. He would just dispel one of them and resummon it when Ozpin was ready for the trip to Mistral.

Death was really wanting to put them to work not just for the shop points, though. His Body Double Control Rank and his Body Double Range Rank had both been stuck at level 12 for a while, and Death was hoping to at least get his range rank up to 13 without having to use a Skill Point. He had only used 15 so far, and technically still had 35 left, but those were precious and he preferred not to use them for things that could be leveled up further through training.

Death did not know how long they would take to level up, though, so he was prepared to use one point if he absolutely had too.

A couple hours later he received a level up notification and saw that his control rank had risen. He watched as it leveled up with a smile.

He created eight more avatars and sent them into Instance Dungeons, and felt his overall combat strength with all of his doubles dropped from 60 percent to 40 percent. That was still acceptable to Death, though, since his level and stats were already fairly incredible, so he felt his avatars could manage somehow..

After classes, Ozpin notified him that the arrangements were made and that his avatar could leave for Mistral the next morning, but he still waited and did not use a skill point. His range was still impressive, even if it was not quite enough to make it all the way to mistral, so it could travel most of the way there without having to level it up, so he had at least a week before there was a risk of his double moving out of range.

Until it was time for the avatar to leave, he had it remain in Instance Dungeon with the rest, save for the one assigned to Amber, who he furthermore left Ultear to that as well.

When his avatar left on a boat, Death thought of a way to further train his range by dispelling the body doubles in instance dungeons once a day and the body double on the way to mistral summoning them all and sending those 18 back into instance dungeons to train.

This way these body doubles were considered to be progressively further away from Death, hopefully helping him to level up faster.

Death, the original, remained at Beacon and explained the situation to his lovers and to May, who was not yet his lover. They were not thrilled to know that Death might fall into a coma for a while, especially May, but after explaining about Salem and how this would help humans, May grudgingly accepted.

------

To cheer her up, Death took May out on a few more dates over the next six days before finally approaching her in the cafeteria with her team, grasping her hand, and leading her away. "Is something wrong?" May asked with a slight blush as she followed him.

"There is something we need to talk about in my room" Death explained to her.

She blushed an even brighter shade of red, but compliantly followed him as she stared at their linked hands. Soon they were in his room, and he closed the door behind them and locked it.

May gulped "Its not a safe day." May said nervously "I'm not ready to be a mother."

Death chuckled "Oh yeah, we haven't had that talk yet. You know how I am a Nephilim, right?"

May nodded with confusion.

"Nephilim are a species that was creating the mingled ashes of demons and angels, and really powerful demonic sorcery. In their natural state, Nephilim are not capable of having children with humans or faunus. I have a method around this, to actually be able to have children, but I likewise an not ready, so I haven't done it yet." Death chuckled "If not for my present infertility, I am certain that there would have been at least a few unintended pregnancies already among my girlfriends."

May seemed a bit surprised, but also relieved "It's still really sudden."

"I understand" Death insisted "But I'd like to invite you to stay tonight anyway. I don't want to pressure you, I'm just...afraid of losing you."

"What happened?" May asked while gently placing a hand on his cheek. She might have been intimidated at the idea of losing her virginity, but she was still in love with him, so she naturally worried about him.

"There was another reason I remembered you when we reunited here at Beacon. Something I've been hesitant to admit. I did not expect to fall in love with you, May, so that makes the idea of your possible death unbearable." Death admitted to her "Remember how when I was not in Remnant, I looked upon it and watched certain events related to Ruby, and when I entered Remnant I ended up about 15 years in the past, before what I saw?"

"You are saying that in the events that you witnessed, I died?" May asked with shock.

"There was a Grimm attack on Vale near the end of the Vital Festival Tournament, and you died in it." Death verified "I have changed many events, so it shouldn't happen, but Tukson shouldn't have been attacked either, and that event still almost happened in spite of the changes I made. I wont necessarily be around if similar events play out as well."

"I don't want to die either" May admitted "What do you propose?"

"Well, I could ask my siblings to protect you in my absence, but they might no be able to be with you all the time They will be participating in the Vital Festival as well, after all." Death explained to May "The best way to keep you alive is for us to become lovers and to like your semblance to mine. Then it will be impossible for you to die as long as I live. The truth is, I feel some pressure as well, otherwise I wouldn't have even suggested this yet. I've never suggested it to my other lovers when they were not feeling like they were ready. Our relationships evolved when they were ready only. If I am to be removed from the field for a while, I don't want to wake up and learn that I've lost you, May."

May indeed felt a bit pressured, but since she had fallen for him she had decided to go along with it anyway, but only because the real reason he wanted to do this was out of a desire to save her. He acknowledged that ideally he would have waited until she was ready before something like them having sex happened

May nodded to him, filling herself with resolve "I am inclined to believe in you, since I think I have fallen in love with you, as strange as that feels for me to say out loud" May admitted shyly "Please explain to me how your semblance works, though. What will it do for me?"

"It is called divine regeneration." Death admitted to her "It was gifted to me by an entity that called himself One-Above-All. Basically my Aura, my body, and my other energy sources, namely wrath and mana, regenerate extraordinarily fast" Death admitted to her "As for what linking you to me, mind, body and soul, it links your aura pool, as well as your body to mine, allowing you to have your aura continuously regenerate as mine does and allowing your body to regenerate, even from lethal damage. As mentioned before, as long as I live, you will be able to recover from any damage you receive, even if it would kill you. So if someone can attack in a manner that takes out your aura completely in an instant and cuts off your head or something, you will still regenerate and you wont die. It's stupidly overpowered, I know, but luckily I have it and not some villain."

May nodded and was genuinely amazed by the sound of his semblance, but she understood the weakness after hearing it. His lovers could come back from death, but he could not. If he did die, then they would all lose their immortality.. It sounded almost too good to be true, but she did not believe that Death was lying "I understand. Please, try to be gentle, my first time is supposed to be painful, right?"

"It will be fine" Death reassured her, seeming genuinely relieved that she agreed, and glad that he decided to tell her the truth. He would have had regrets if he had not told her and he found out later that she agreed only because she felt pressured into it. If that had happened, he would have felt like scum.

Death started removing May's beanie and removed the covering that she had over one of her eye. May was surprised that he had done that, and ended up watching him fearfully to see how he would react.

The area around that eye was horribly scarred, and the eye that had been in it was completely missing. Maybe many would find such a sight gruesome, but Death was not bothered by it "You're beautiful."

"I'm...hideous...I know that...Thanks for speaking such kind words, though." May agreed with a sigh "I...still love you, even if you don't want me anymore."

Death pressed his lips to May's, slowly and sensually kissing her. After he had witnessed her deformity to her great shame, May had never expected him to be able to kiss her like this. She felt as though his kiss was filled with love, like it was taunting her and calling her an idiot for doubting him.

May, filled with happiness, shed tears from her one existing eye.

Death and May, caught up in the moment, started undressing each other, and Death then brought May to his bed and laid her on it. May was breathing a bit heavily under Death's loving gaze, wondering how he could possibly look at her after seeing her maimed face, missing eye, and breasts as small as hers.

Well, they were still larger then Weiss's breasts, and he loved her, so maybe not the breast issue as much, but her scar and missing eye was so gruesome and she knew it. Yet he looked at her as though she was a work of art.

"Are you degrading yourself, my love?" Death asked while cupping breasts in his hands and gently kneaded them "You keep them well hidden, but these are a respectable B-Cup. Plenty of girls are even smaller then this. they can't all have breasts like Yang."

The skill with which he kneaded her breasts made May start moaning. She hadn't expected it to feel so incredible, but then Death had no shortage of practice with his other lovers. Right now, though, the only one that he was thinking about was may, and he wanted to make this evening as magical as possible for her.

After kneading her breasts a while, Death stopped and rested on one arm next to her and leaned over her to start kissing her passionately, while his free hand slipped in between her legs and started gently rubbing the nub at the top of her opening.

May moaned, feeling as though lightning entered her body from his touch in her intimate place. It was in a good way, though, rather then literal lightning. She couldn't help herself but get more intensely into kissing Death, making proper use of each of their tongues in a dance between their locked lips.

Slowly, May felt a pressure building up inside of her as this went on, until finally it was unleashed, and she experienced her first ever orgasm.

As her body started rocking from her release, Death parted from the constant kissing and started climbing between May's legs. May wasn't paying attention because of her emotions flowing through her body following her first orgasm, and mentally returned to reality when Death's staff plunged into her depth's and broke through her hymen in one swift movement, with him hoping that the inevitable pain might be lessoned since she had an orgasm first and because he didn't rip through it slowly.

Death had no idea whether or not it was butter for her this way, but he sure hoped it was since he genuinely did not want her to suffer. He did use his semblance again, focused towards her groin and womb, to minimize her pain and discomfort, and to help her adapt faster to being his lover.

Death grabbed May by her waist and lifted her up to give himself the best angle possible as he started moving in and out at a slow pace before gradually increasing it as her body grew accustomed to his own

Thanks to his Divine regeneration, Death had no problem with recovering and was able go on until May was physically and mentally exhausted, and then he got the quest notification that he had been waiting for.

Death was relieved when he saw the notifications appear, letting him know that his hours of work had finally paid off "It finally happened"

"I...feel weird." May admitted groggily from underneath him "My face..."

"Divine regeneration, remember?" Death chuckled with amusement "Of course it would feel a bit weird to regrow a lost eye. The scar tissue turning beautiful and smooth might be unnoticed, but I whole new eye, how could that be missed?" Indeed just as he had said, the scar tissue around her previously missing eye had already become replaced with flawless skin, and a new eyes was nearly formed in the previously ruined socket.

"Y...you didn't tell me that this would happen" May said with surprise, and suddenly realized that the eye had finished forming and she could now see with it!

After having lived so long with one eye, and adapting to it to the extent that she could still be a damn good sniper, suddenly having her other eye back felt a bit disorienting, but she also felt elated about it.

"If I told you, it wouldn't have been a surprise. Besides, I wanted you to know that even with your injury you were still gorgeous." Death tenderly place a hand upon her cheek "Technically, I could have healed you of that injury even without binding you to my semblance, but it is more romantic this way, don't you think?"

May found energy within herself to sit up, then threw her arms around Death and bawled because she was just so happy and emotional, and couldn't help herself. To her, it was as though she had been reborn into a new and complete woman. She wholeheartedly believed that even with her injury, even if it hadn't healed for some reason, Death would have still loved her, but she was still happy to be healed, since it had been such a trauma upon her in the past, and this way she could put it behind her.

May cried her heart out for quite a while, with Death continuing to hold her in his arms, until at last she fell asleep.

As Death was about to let himself go to sleep as well, he got a notification that his body double rank had leveled up

------

Body Double Range (Rank 12) - The range that the body doubles can move away from the original body is 5120 miles. At next level the range becomes 10240 miles or planetary. So long as the user is on a planet, the body doubles can exist anywhere on that planet or within 10240 miles of it.

At next level the range becomes 1000 light years or galactic. So long as the user is within a Galaxy, the body doubles can exist anywhere on that Galaxy or within 1000 light years of it, or a bit under 6 quadrillion miles.

------

Even though he should have been happy that he wouldn't have to spend one of his skill points to level up his Body Double Range, he just couldn't give a damn at the moment. At that moment all he cared about was that he successfully made May feel better.

Being this emotional was a bit out of character for her, he knew, but that just showed him her happiness was just that much. "Good night, May." Death gave her a chaste kiss on the lips before closing his eyes to sleep as well, right beside her.. Even if he didn't 'need' sleep because of his semblance, death still enjoyed doing it as long as he was with one of his lovers, and now that was something he could share with May as well.
