POV Death
Much time had passed in relative peace within the household of Taiyang, Summer, and the kids. Procuring the Body Double technique had been an awesome boon for Death, who discovered early on that he could focus on living his life and being there for his family, while having a double constantly inside Create ID simulations building up experience and shop points for himself.
This skill was not like the shadow clone jutsu f5rom Naruto, though, as it required him to learn to partition his mind to control multiple bodies simultaneously. Each body was essentially like another limb, just one that could be controlled over long distances like a radio control car, except that he could hear, feel, see, smell and taste everything that his boy double did, so getting used to the feedback be received from them was a huge challenge, though one he had begun making strides towards rectifying.
Even though he had not received any quests from his system since the trip to Vacuo, he still had accompanied Qrow a few times on jobs where he had to work with others, so that his semblance wouldn't get anyone killed, but mostly he just focused on attending Signal, training with his adopted family, keeping in touch with his siblings, and also keeping in touch with a few other people
When he earned 1,000,000 Shop Points, he bought the mysterious upgrade on his 'Cosmic Power' Skill Tree, and it actually gave him an item called 'Doom Armor', which had some incredible powers, increasing all his stats by 50, his Health, Wrath and Aura by 1000, as well as revealing new options on the Cosmic Power Skill Tree, including 'Magically Adept', which unsealed his 'Dark Mysticism' Skill Tree.
Dark Mysticism seemed to relate to summoning demons, so Death did not do anything with it. Remnant did not have any traditional demons, so he did not want to draw attention from such entities towards this world What mattered to him now was that he now had a 'Mana' stat, which he could use to eventually learn other magics, or so he hoped.
The other new skills that appeared on the Cosmic Power skill tree related to teleportation, electrical attacks, concussive attacks, and most interestingly, 'Temporal Stability', which apparently rendered him immune to affects that changed time, as well as 'any powerful attack, effect, or ability which would seek to erase ones existence.'
Death had no idea what that could refer too, buuuut the fact that it was an option made him think that apparently it was something which was possible, so while he felt no need just yet to acquire concussive or electrical attacks, he definitely picked up that Temporal Stability!
It also had 'Flight', 'Infrared Vision', and 'Vacuum Survival', though these were acquired immediately, without spending skill points, though they only functioned when certain parts of the suit were active. To use Flight required the antigrav jetpack to be revealed, to use Infrared Vision required him to where the mask, and 'Vacuum Survival' required the whole suit to be active.
Thankfully, the suit could he sealed in a necklace state and all or part of it could be unsealed/worn as needed..
As incredible as the armors effects were, though, Death thought the appearance it defaulted with to be rather terrible, but the system let him spend 500,000 to cosmetically modify the Doom Armor, which let him fuse the armor into another set, with him using his Abyssal Armor Set as a fusion base.
The result was that the armor mostly looked like his abyssal set, though the torso had more coverage, particularly in the back, where the antigrav jetpack was well concealed.
Other then that, he spend 465,000 Shop Points buying every remaining 'food' related thing in the semblance section, resulting in all his previous purchases being replaced on his stats with 'Foodie', which incorporated all his food-related semblances into it and cleaned up his status page a bit, as well as being a vastly superior ability, allowing him to create any food or beverage he'd ever had before.
When he got this ability, he'd sometimes use it to make a cookie and put it into Ruby's mouth randomly. He still made cookies the old fashioned way for fun, but sometimes it was nice to just make a cookie appear, since it was easier to surprise Ruby that way.
As an unfortunate side-effect of the changes that had occurred to the intended plot of the show, though, Death could not assume that Roman Torchwick would show up to rob ''From Dust Til Dawn', or that Ruby would be there to stop it, so Death had to convince Ozpin to admit Ruby two years early even without the robbery, but since this Ruby was even stronger then the canon one and had been trained to use her silver eyes by her mother, he wasn't hard to convince.
Summer took a bit more convincing, but in the end Death convinced her that whatever Ozpin originally intended wasn't as important as forming Team RWBY. Death was convinced that they were fated to be a team, so he convinced her to allow Ruby to go.
Interestingly, Ruby still went to 'From Dust Til Dawn' the day before they were to go to Beacon, with Death tagging along, but the robbery did not occur, which made Death relieved that he hadn't relied upon the robbery to get her into Beacon.
Additionally, Cinder was also registered and was planning to enter Beacon with them, so Summer and Taiyang were about to go from having five others (Yang, Ruby, Death, Cinder, and Emerald) in the house to having it just be the two of them and Vernal, who would arrive soon after seeing Strife off to Beacon.

POV War
Over the years leading up to their fated trip to Beacon, things were relatively peaceful for the Schnee family, though War trained hard with Weiss, Winter, and Whitley. The most motivated to train our of all of them was Weiss, who wanted to get strong for Death, whom she was stubbornly determined to impress. She even took to calling Death every week or so with her scroll just to hear his voice and see his face.
Weiss may have grown more vain over the years, but more then that she was stubborn. Once she decided she would marry Death when she grew up, she stubbornly stuck to it in her heart, though due to distance she focused on maintaining a friendship with him and only periodically flirted with him for the moment.
Unlike Weiss, who planned to attend Beacon Academy for four years and become a huntress, Winter went to Atlas Academy for three before officially taking over as the new Head of the Schnee Dust Company, allowing her grandfather to finally retire a year before Weiss was to head to Beacon.
Whitley, who loved both of his sisters, had trained under War as well and was planning to become a Huntsman when he was old enough to enter Atlas Academy, so Winter and Weiss had both made time to train him even in that final year, in spite of their hectic schedules. With Jacques Gelé not in the picture being a bad influence on him, Whitley grew to be a loving younger brother who basically thought his sisters and War were his heroes that he looked up too.
Nicholas Schnee now had a lot more free time, so when Weiss and War headed to Vale to attend Beacon, Nicholas Schnee personally accompanied them

POV Strife/Fury
Strife and Fury passed the years continuing to travel with the White Fang. With Adam dead, and the support of Fury and Strife, Ghira Belladonna remained strongly enshrined as the leader of the White Fang. Sienna Khan did try to usurp control, but failed in the end due to insufficient support, and she ended up leaving the White Fang and creating her own group called the Bloody Fangs.
The Bloody Fangs occasionally recruited members from within the White Fang, but their numbers remained quite small. The White Fang group, however, remained mostly untainted by the violent actions of the Bloody Fangs, and focused on peacefully protesting while constantly condemning the actions of the Bloody Fangs.
When the Bloody Fangs attempted to stir up trouble during a protest, Strife, Fury, Vernal, Mercury, Ren and Nora would be ready to jump into action to subdue and apprehend the troublemakers, before turning them over to the local authorities.
The fact that the White Fang had allied with a group of six who were believed to be humans, and that they were enforcing a peace to pointedly and completely separate themselves from the Bloody Fangs, made the general opinion of the White Fang grow more favorable by common folk, while the Bloody Fang was growing more despised.
Under these circumstances, Blake never left the White Fang, and remained with them until it came time to enter Beacon. With the exception of Vernal, the other six registered and joined Beacon, with Vernal was going to Patch to stay with Summer and Taiyang once their home had emptied out, since her skills were not at the same level as the others, and she decided to directly have an apprenticeship under Summer Rose rather then attending Beacon.

POV Neopolitan
Neo had kept in touch with Fury and Death over a scroll when she was able too, while living with the Arc family. She hadn't joined them right away, but had eventually once Jaune grew sufficiently strong to show promise, and then she no longer had to hide her training. His family was not thrilled with her, at first, because they wanted to shelter Jaune, but Jaune insisted on following his dream, and Neo insisted on helping him to do so. Neo basically wore them down and got them to accept it and to support Jaune.
Neo's strength grew stronger, and she pushed Jaune to greater extremes as well, honing him into an extremely competent fighter. She even encouraged Jaune to participate in the last Mistral Regional Tournament before they were to head to Beacon, with him losing in the final round to the returning champion Pyrrha Nikos, though he gave her a good fight, resulting in her winning her third tournament in the last four years,
Even though he lost, Neo still reassured Jaune and congratulated him for making it so far in his first tournament. His placement, at least, reassured him that he had not wasted his time on something he could not succeed at. Sure, it had not come easy for him, as he was not some natural genius, and he had to work his ass off to reach this level, but now he knew he could make it.
After returning to his home, they started preparing to make the trip to Beacon together.

POV Pyrrha Nikos
Pyrrha normally would have won four tournaments in a row, but two years previous to her final tournament, War and Death happened to both be in Mistral at the time of the tournament, and both decided to register, though they did so for different reasons.
Luckily for Pyrrha, Death and War were on a separate bracket then she was, so she did not have to meet either of them until the final match. Death and War met in the Semi-finals, with Death barely obtaining a win before he met Pyrrha in the finals. Death was the first person in her age range that had been able to defeat Pyrrha, and he did so rather effortlessly.
Death, however, was a good sport, and had smiled at Pyrrha before inviting her out to eat to celebrate the completion of the tournament, as well as to meet his brother. Pyrrha, at that time, had agreed, and they went together to meet Qrow, War, Nicholas Schnee, Weiss Schnee, and Arslan Altan, who War had fought just before his battle with Death and had invited as well.
War had definitely liked Arslan Altan's fighting style and had invited her to Atlas to train with him over her summer break. Death introduced Pyrrha to everyone and they had a nice evening, that left Pyrrha with a very good impression of Death and the others.
Since War and Death did not appear in the next two years, she did not meet them again, and had no real competition, except for the boy that she met in the finals in her final year named Jaune Arc, who seemed like he had good potential. She managed to defeat him in the end, but he still impressed her. Not to the same extent as Death, but still a cut above the rest.
Though she won two more Tournaments, Pyrrha regretted that Death and War had not reappeared, as she had trained even harder to beat these two, but her training didn't get put into action. After her third win, she started preparing to head to Beacon, where she'd train to become a huntress.

POV Melanie and Miltia Malachite
Melanie and Miltia, 'the Malachite Sisters', had a relatively good upbringing, with their mother, Lil Miss Malachite. Their mother provided them with whatever they needed or wanted, including stylish and expensive clothes and accessories, but the one place where they were impeded was in romance. Any guy that took an interest in them would be scared off by their mother, with the most stubborn boys disappearing from mistral (and probably life) completely.
Melanie and Miltia generally ignored this, at first, but eventually grew a bit annoyed. They took to watching the Mistral Regional Tournament and checking out the boys that they viewed as strong. This was how they first came to see Death and War. When Death won his tournament, the twins decided to research him, and found that he came from Vale.
Their mother was planning to send them to Vale to train under a friend of hers there, so they both started encouraging this, trying to leave earlier, and eventually made their way to Vale to work for Junior, while hoping to meet Death again. Sure, his skin color was unusual, but he had a nice body, and was definitely strong enough to impress them. They were not the only girls that were impressed by Death, either, though they were the only ones that uncovered that he was from Vale so quickly. One of Death's admirer's was even a girl in the audience of the tournament, but more of them watched from abroad as the tournament was broadcast to the four kingdoms.

POV Reese Chloris
Having been not strong enough to qualify to enter the Mistral Regional Tournament in the year that War and Death entered it, Reese had still stayed to watch it, and by the time the tournament ended, she considered herself to be Death's fan. She wanted to meet him after the tournament, but he left right after, and she wasn't able to find him.
Instead, she trained even harder to qualify the next year, reaching the finals, and losing to Pyrrha Nikos. Regrettably, Death didn't participate, but she got to meet Pyrrha, and made good memories before she enrolled into Haven Academy.
Only after joining Team ABRN and meeting Arslan Altan, did she learn more about Death, since Arslan, her team leader, was apparently training with and dating Death's brother, War. She learned that Death would be joining Beacon the following year, and she encouraged Arslan to participate in the next Vytal Festival Tournament.
