"Because he killed the Merdel children," Criselda argued as she finally sat on the floor. Of course, she knew that Darius hadn't gone to Zuhair and killed her children literally but he had been the genesis of it all and it was just right that he got his karma.

"But the kids are—"

"In a coma. They're not dead, they never were. These are the children of the prophecy and they will only be awake in one hundred and fifty years from now. Or so the prophecy claimed," Criselda said as she looked at her unconscious cousin.

She had reached her limits with Darius and she knew that no matter how, and she wanted to fix this, she'd never be able to. The chain had already been released and it was just a matter of time before the impossible came to light.
