"He probably gets anxiety whenever you're away, no?" Zelina said and Alanor listened carefully. He knew that Zelina was right and that all of this was bound to happen one way or the other. 

Maybe he was a little too protective of the young prince to the point that he was forgetting that Unar Stitt was just a killing machine like Alanor. 

Unar Stitt was equally powerful, he was strong and just because he was willing to submit to his mate and be Alanor's erasthai never meant he was weak. The man could kill in his sleep if he wanted to, and wouldn't feel remorse for it.
