Chapitre 308: One Last Call Home

Walking away from his friends, Alanor felt like the burdens were once again coming at him. He felt like this was the loneliest of walks. The whole forest was bare and everyone could tell where he was going.

They could see his broken form desperately trying to navigate the pile of ashes he had gracefully made out of the once lively forest. He felt a little guilty for robbing the midlands of their largest forest, but then it wasn't like there was more he could have done anyway.

He didn't want to go and lash out at any and everyone who was willing to punch him back. He could have sparred with Ulrike but then they would have to hurt each other, more than they were emotionally hurting.

It was crazy what they had come to be, but Alanor knew he had to do this, alone. And so with one foot in front of the other, and in the pile of ashes, he made his way to the Wynter grave.
