Sure, he was hoping his father would have shown up to help him redeem the Kingdom but Edison wasn't there with them so the young prince had made up his mind to try to strike a final bargain with the prince of Doom. Maybe this time they'd be on better terms, right?

"I hope I never become a king like you," Unar said when he walked out of his father's chambers. 

Of course, there was a chance that he wouldn't even have a kingdom to rule when this was over but then a man could hope for better days, even if each day was darker than the last.
