As he walked away from the King's chamber, Unar couldn't help but think that his father was insane. Sure the mission was supposed to be simple but damn the man was making it even hard for Unar to commit. 

'Alanor was an orphan who didn't know his parents?' Unar wondered as he walked out of the palace. It really made sense now that Unar thought about it.

Udrad had snatched his family away and was still trying to eliminate him. What more did the lycan kingdom want from the young Wynter anyway?

All of this was just so heartbreaking. 

Unar had always felt like he lived in a dysfunctional family but dumb as he thought of his helpless mate, he couldn't help but feel like there were a million and one things wrong with his royal family.

What kind of father murdered a whole family in the name of secrets?

Couldn't he have coerced the Wynters into silence or something? Unar was frustrated.
