[THE MIDLANDS]
Saying goodbye to the hound and the vampire warrior of Asteta was obviously the easiest part of Grant's journey. And it wasn't because he was scared of traveling alone or that the warlocks would sever his head from his neck.
He knew he would have to hit the highway that linked Acrod and Greroth; the road that smelled of his once broken heart, which was obviously still broken. Granted, he had accepted Nour as his mate, and was wishing Alanor the best, but it didn't mean that he wasn't hurting.
"Deep breaths, and positive thoughts, Grant," he convinced himself once the scent of the flowers Alanor had planted hit him. He had told himself he would never make the trip down to Greroth, and yet here and now, he was headed there because of someone so important to him.
Grant's gotta be crazy for mentioning Alanor to a bunch of warlocks who were worried sick. and his proclamation? maybe his life was becoming meaningless lol. or maybe Nour just didn't give him the feels like Alanor did lmao
