"It's okay, son. You will be fine. You can tell him, and see if he likes you too. Besides, maybe it's not one-sided, right?" Ilya said, the words coming out of her mouth sounding more foreign with every second. She felt like it was an illusion, but all would be well, right?
"I guess so. Anyway, thanks mother," Unar said to Ilya before going back to the damning reports. He needed to be done soon so he would go out and be free. However, as he continued, he could feel his freedom slipping away and his heart clenching.
Unar wanted to not like Alanor, but his heart wanted something else. Of course, his lycan was quiet ever since the mating ceremony, but still, hearing his mother say that he was in love with the warlock, was the final nail in his hopeless love.
