Mornings in Udrad after the mating ceremony were weird in some aspects.

For starters, the lycans wouldn't show their faces until midmorning, for 'fear' that they looked shagged and didn't want to ruin the innocence of the young lycans. Others pretended like the mating ceremony didn't even take place, even though it did and they were affected by it all.

The palace grounds were supposed to be empty save for the royal warriors, though most had to be mated already, to avoid the awkward states that the lycans loved getting into.

The lycan queen was in her chambers, trying to figure out a way to deal with Alanor being back in Udrad. It was one thing to protect him from a distance, but now that the young Wynter was here, all eyes would definitely be on him and everything he did and Ilya knew that.
