Chapitre 11: power

Ground Beta.

At the large main-square of the mock city, which was a showcase of the seemingly infinite budget of U.A. High, three figures could be standing, one of whom was a great distance away from the other two. Those figures were, of course: All Might, Eraserhead, better known as Mr Aizawa, and myself.

"Sirs, you should probably move a bit further away," I said, even though they were at least 100 meters away. What I was about to do was REALLY dangerous.

Aizawa grew slightly irritated by my statement. "Just hurry up and show us the thing, kid! We don't have all day."

I sighed. "Well, if you insist. just don't blame me if you die." This statement baffled the teachers. What did this kid have that was so dangerous that it could easily beat All Might and even kill him if he wasn't the proper distance away?

I warned the teachers one last time. "To be clear, this will be my first time using this weapon. I REALLY recommend you move away."

All Might looked at Aizawa and said: "you know what, let's just move further away. There's no reason not to trust him. He's been quite helpful so far."

Like a teenage girl that just got scolded, Aizawa rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine, let's hurry."

When the two reached the edge of Ground Beta, a distance I deemed appropriate, I took a deep breath and got into the right mindset. In all honesty, I was quite nervous about what I was going to do. When I had reached a state of mind I deemed right, I summoned a golden ripple in space above my palm, out of which came an intricate, golden key-shaped sword.

"So is this your so-called ultimate weapon? doesn't look that dangerous to me," Aizawa said. He seemed unimpressed but was taken aback by the deep, ancient aura released by the key.

I chuckled. "No, this "the Key of the King's Law, Bab-ilu." It connects to my treasury, and it can open any door so long as it has a lock. It is needed in order to summon EA."

As I finished explaining, I held the key vertically in the air. The parts around the grip began to rotate. Then, it released a large, labyrinth-like, red pattern that covered the sky. The red lines then converged, forming an orb resembling a miniature sun, melting the surroundings. Then, a strange weapon, barely resembling a sword, descended from the miniature sun before landing in my hand. It had a golden grip and handguard that covered my entire hand. The "blade" was a cylindrical, drill-shaped pillar made up of three segments engraved with glowing crimson lines.

It emitted a pressure so immense that it almost forced the two teachers on their knees, its sheer majesty and power rendering them breathless. For once, they were glad to have listened to my advice.

"This power! How is it possible? How can such a thing exist on this earth!" All Might exclaimed.

"Put that thing away, kid! We've seen enough!" Aizawa, for the first time, showed a troubled expression.

"Hehehe," I chuckled.

"Show them one percent, EA!".

The three cylinders that made up the blade rotated slightly, signalling the weapon activating. The activation alone released energy so strong, it immediately reduced the entire fake city to dust, in a deafening explosion that lit up the darkening sky. All Might and Aizawa, who were at the edge of the city, got blasted away by the shockwave. They flew against the wall around it, creating large cracks as they barely managed to retain consciousness.

"This power was simply from its activation," I explained. "Imagine If I used its full power? Maybe Musutafu would be destroyed. Maybe even Japan. Or maybe the whole earth. It is not called the Sword of Rupture without reason. Even I don't know the full extent of EA's power."

For the first time in ages, All Might experienced a feeling he strongly disliked: pure powerlessness. He had always prided himself as the number one hero, a shining star, a pure powerhouse. And yet, I, a mere first year, made him feel what even his sworn enemy could not: like a mortal before a god.

Meanwhile, on a different side of the U.A. campus. A small-statured, humanoid rat, also known as Nezu, the principal, was busy with his usual paperwork when something interrupted him. His animalistic instincts, honed by years of experimentation by humans, suddenly went off like crazy. He stopped what he was doing and looked out the window towards ground Beta. When he saw nothing, he was about to resume his work when suddenly, an impossibly large outburst of energy reduced the entirety of Ground Beta to rubble. The shockwave that followed was strong enough to knock all the paperwork to the ground. Nezu became increasingly anxious. He knew that the last person to use the facility was All Might and his class, and he knew damn well that All Might was not that strong. He quickly ran back to his desk and turned on his computer to check the security feed, something he was one the few to have access to. The cameras in Ground Beta were all destroyed, but thankfully, one camera a short distance away was still operational. He took control of it, zooming in on the destruction. What he saw next shocked him even more. All Might and Eraserhead, one of which was the no.1 hero, were currently on their knees, barely retaining consciousness. When he adjusted his sight towards the center of the destruction, he found the culprit, a young man he recognized as year one student Adam, holding a weapon that made every hair on his body stand up straight. As he walked towards the collapsed duo, still holding that awe-inspiring weapon, Nezu feared for the worst. When the young man dispelled the weapon in golden light before helping the two teachers up, he breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed it was nothing more than a friendly spar. Still, such power, which could bring even All Might to his knees, was not something a first-year should possess. To make matters worse, Nezu had a distinct feeling that was not the limit of his power.

Finally, the majesty that is EA graces the land filled with mongrels with its presense! prolly should've made the scene longer, but I'm also impressed I even managed to stretch it to 1037 words... wasn't MC supposed to have some kind of party with his classmates? whatever, not important, EA time. if you've got ideas/suggestions/compliments to appease my giant ego, lemme know. maybe even leave a review. it would mean a lot <3
