Chapitre 113: Blessings

"Have you come here to get blessed?" A voice asked as she turned around to see Jenoix smiling at her. His bright crimson eyes twinkling as she gave him a fake smile. It was far easier to him in the daylight with his bright sparkling veneer.

"I came to make a donation," Lumielle said as Evangeline offered a small box to the priest besides Jenoix.

Jenoix smiled, "Your devoutness to the Goddess shall not be forgotten."

What a farce.

"I am quite glad the Archbishop sees it in that way," she hummed. Words were delicate, a gentle hum as she turned on her heel to escape. The temple was going to rise in success and pouring money into their ever-deepening pockets wouldn't hurt anyone. It was an investment, one that she had been making since the start.

"I heard that the two Grand Duchies were going to battle today," Jenoix said. "I thought you would have come to receive a blessing for your man of choosing."
