Tossing around on the ground, I woke up with a start. I quickly wiped my face, as I felt the sweat accumulating on my forehead and neck.
Through the cracks within the twigs, I could see the moon still slightly above the horizon, though slowly sinking down.
My stomach began to grumble as I stood up. It was understandable seeing how I hadn't eaten anything in the past day.
Glancing around the cave, I seemed as if I could see clearer than last night, The shadows formed by the corners and jagged areas no longer seemed to bother me as everything look equally lit up.
"What is-" I stared in wonder, cutting myself off as I opened my status, my jaws widening.

"I'm a what?" I rubbed my eyes before looking back at the screen to make sure I didn't see wrong.
So… I'm a werewolf now?
I patted myself down to see if there were any changes. But still, there was none.
'Transform,' I commanded in my mind, hoping it'll work, and as soon as the thought entered my head, I could feel something ripping from inside my skin. My hands began to rapidly grow, forming giant silver-like claws from my fingernails, and black fur formed all over my body. As I felt my arms and legs become bulkier, my line of sight rapidly rose and sudden pain erupted from my face as I could feel it stretch and my vision quickly dimmed red.
And as quickly as the pain came, it disappeared altogether.
With no source of water or any kind of mirror near me, I had no idea how I looked. But, just from the sight of my bulky arms and legs and the power which resonated from my muscles, I can believe it would cause any person near me to instantly piss their pants.
"Guarr," I tried to speak but found my mouth unable to produce the correct sounds.
'Status,' I opted to mentally command my status screen.
Although seeing everything in a red tint required a bit more time to get used to, my sense of smell and hearing seemed to have been boosted over 100 times as even the sound of the swaying of leaves a few hundred meters away could be clearly heard.

'What the hell!' I mentally screamed in disbelief. I could clearly tell that this transformation skill was way too overpowered since it didn't seem to be using any MP and still ended up doubling all my stats. Meaning that I could remain in this form for an infinite amount of time.
Suddenly, remembering how I had used my sword to see my reflection yesterday, I squinted around and found my sword in its sheath, laying on the ground, near the cluster of leaves used as bedding.
Bending down and using my claws to carefully grab the sword. However, my gigantic fingers being larger than the handle of the sword itself caused the task to be easier said than done.
I guess there is a downside to this transforming skill after all.
Sighing and canceling the transformation, my vision slowly became clearer as I attempted to grab my sword again. This time easily accomplishing the task. However, as I was about to put away the weapon, I glanced down at my reflection and to my surprise, I found my eye color to have shifted to a gold yellowish tint with flashes of green. But, the longer I stared at it, it began slowly morphed back to its original hazel brown.
Seeing my eyes returning to normal, I put my sword back into its sheath and headed out, my stomach grumbling a little louder.
—————
The moon was just above the horizon, the sun inches from rising up as I quickly trudged towards the civilization with a new plan in mind.
The wall began to show itself as the forest came to an end and a lush plain appeared. I made sure I was still within the trees and out of sight as I headed towards the right, hoping to evade the vision of the guards.
Once I was sure I was far enough and with no other people in sight, I rubbed my hands together and looked up, estimating the distance I would need to jump.
Willing a partial transformation on my legs, I felt it warping into a less bulky version of my full transformation. The black fur slightly peering out from beneath my pants, causing it to stretch.
"Let's do this," I muttered as I gave myself a small run start and jumped directing all my power to my legs.
And up I went. The resistance of the wind pulling on my face as I felt myself approaching the top. I felt myself slowing down before reaching out my arm and transforming it. I stabbed my claws into the stone wall, giving myself another boost and finally landing on the top. Quickly reverting the transformations, I jumped down before anyone could see me.
CRASH!
I landed on a giant pile of rubbish and paper, tumbling into the cobblestone ground below.
"Ow!" I grumbled, picking myself up, and dusting myself off before looking around.
The sight of broken-down houses and the dreadful smell of manure entered my nose, as I gagged a little, putting my hand over my mouth and nose.
Seems I've landed in the slums. I eyed a distant well-kept building and ran towards it, hoping to go somewhere that was at least a bit fresher smelling than here.
"S-Sir, Do you have any spare change?" I heard a voice of an old granny calling out from behind as I felt a tug on my shirt.
Turning around, there stood an old woman which ragged clothing, the hundred holes in her shirt patched with simple sewing.
I looked down at my own shirt and pants which had also been almost completely destroyed from my prior experiment and glanced back at the woman.
"What do you think?" I blinked, showing off my own shirt with its many unpatched holes.
The old lady let go of my shirt and silently backed away, completely agreeing with my actions.
Seeing her figure disappearing back into an alleyway, I turned back around and head out the slums.
Within minutes, a bustling street filled with people of all ages entered my sight as I made my way into the hustle, though many purposely walked around me with a disgusted look on their faces.
"Now, I need a way to find money," I muttered to myself, in awe of the medieval setting and design of buildings around me.
Up ahead, a giant circular building, located dead center of the entire town caught my eye as I spotted many young people heading in and out, each equipped with impressive-looking weapons and armor.
"That must be-!" My eyes shone with excitement as I quickly headed there, the sea of people parting like the sea, allowing me to reach the building with no problem.
"It's a guild isn't it?" I hyped myself up, expectations welling up within me as I nervously pushed open the door.
Inside, the festive atmosphere with hundreds of adventurers wandered the building, some gathered in groups standing in front of a giant wooden board looking closely at the papers attached, which others sat at tables drinking, eating, and laughing with their friends.
Assuming the middle counter area was the reception, I hurried towards the ladies standing professionally at the counter.
"How may I help you today?" One of them asked as I approached them. Although their voice seemed welcoming, I could tell their eyes had already judged me from my clothes.
"I want to sign up," I said, ignoring their obvious disgusted body language.
"Are you sure?" She raised an eyebrow, "Being an adventurer is an extremely dangerous job with an over 70% mortality rate."
I nodded in confirmation.
"Please place your hand here," She takes out a crystal ball and a clipboard with a few pages of paper.
"We'll scan if you have a criminal background and have you fill in some information."
"Alright,"
I obediently placed my hand onto the ball in which it shined a bright green color.
"Perfect." She smiled, taking back the crystal ball and pushed the clipboard forward, "Fill that in. If you are illiterate, simply press that button on the clipboard and it will give verbal instructions."
Nodding, I grabbed the board and glanced over the questions.

I grabbed a pencil from the holder and quickly filled in the information.
"Please confirm the following. Your name is Sen, a 19-year-old male, and a level 4 swordsman. Is that correct?" The receptionist readout after I gave it back.
"Yes ma'am," I smiled, nodding.
"Perfect." She replied, stamping it and handing it to her colleague.
"Your adventurer ID will be complete within 3 days." She bowed, as I turned around at the cue to leave.
Exiting the building, I stretched my arms and glanced around. The sun had finally risen and the streets were still packed and lively. As I began wandering around, I could feel my stomach growling again, however, this time a small urge to feed raised from my guts, but I ignored it since I had no way of obtaining food due to my current penniless situation.
