Chapitre 40: Ch.40 The long awaited script change!

Not far away from him was a woman in white hanging on the wall. The kakaka sounds were coming from her mouth.
But as he focused on the woman. He spoke aloud so the figure at the edge of his vision could hear him, all the while facing the woman.
"So, Was I able to fulfill my roll this time properly?"
The figure responded, "Yes, and when you next wake up... You'll have the chance to become a real boy." and the figure disappeared from his sight.

After Xuan's transmition and the little stint with in the group.It didnt take long for their bus to reach Sunlight Hotel.
Thanks to it being the tourist season, they easily mixed into the crowd and got to the stairs. They didnt want to take the elevator because of the smell of blood.
It wasn't until they climbed over a dozen floors and opened the door to their room that they let out a sigh of relief.
But, It was cut short, by shock. As they were just entering the room, they were greeted by the smiling figure of Kris.
Kris was sitting on the sofa that was facing the door. The first to recover was Yinkong as she became tense, at the sight of Kris.
Due to the repeated altercations with the ghost kid and Kayako, Kris was subconsciously releasing a constant amount of psyche wave around him, that alerts him if they were near by.
Being trained as an assassin since young. Yinkong, interpreted this as an aura of strangeness and made her feel unease.
But what Kris didn't expect was Jie's reaction, other than a sleight twitch from the corner of his eye, their was nothing too overt, shown.
"How was your trip? I especially love the sights, it's to die for." said Kris while on the sofa crossing his legs.
Zheng was the first to open his mouth, "What happened to Xuan?"
"Dead." Kris smile disappeared replaced by his rarely seen seriousness.
"That's one of the reasons I'm here."
Kris then took out from inside his inner jacket pocket, something they weren't expecting. The Tang Dynasty Monk's Scripture, sealed in a ziptight plastic bag and fully intact.
"But what was it that got run over? I felt the same warmth and protection from it and the real one." ask Zheng
"Ah, that was just my Anti-Evil Talisman, or at least half of it. Ever since I left the house where Kayako used to live, I've been constantly attacked. And the talisman burned till only half remained, to fend off Kayako."
"For your other question, I took this while your guys where slacking off. And replaced it with a cheap copy of similar looking script I got from a souvenir shop, when I joined a tour group earlier... my paper talisman was placed in between its pages that's why you never felt the difference."
"Actually your Appraizer guy there should also have been aware this entire time. Weird he never mentioned it when that college kid with a butt fetish clocked him with an ashtray."
"You guys should get him checked, he might have temporary short term amnesia." Kris says in a concerned voice.
"So now could you all come in, and I'll explain why I'm here?"

Everyone was now sitting in the suite's living room.
Due to the feeling of security the scripture radiate, Some of them even brought out some cold drinks. Ready to listen to what, Kris is about to say.
"To start with, I've seen and heard everything that has come to pass, these few days within the group." opened Kris.
"So you weren't only keeping an eye on Xuan but your keeping close tabs on us as well?" Zero.
Kris nods to confirm. Then puts his thumbs up at Yinkong with a nice guy smile and a wink.
Which only confused Yinkong.
"Now on to more serious matters..." Kris said with a heavy tone.
"My first priority for coming here is to ask you to retire from fighting Kayako." everyone face hardened at those words.
The first one to react is Jie, "Then, what are we suppose to do just stay here, and let it kill us?!"
When the others were about to say something. He raised his hand and said "Come down and let me finish."
"I will be leaving the scripture with you, And I alone will face Kayako. But, Zheng I know you have been deducted 1000pts for killing the kid with the boobs fetish."
"So you and Zero will be fighting from afar, acting as sniper. Zero will assist you, and teach you the skills needed, when you enter the unlock mode you'll be as good as any sniper with the basics."
"I'm doing this to avoid losing our main fighters and ensure the rest's safety."
"So all of you will stay at this hotels roof and stay close to Zheng and Zero."
"Then that means, You'll be the bait. I don't think I'll be comfortable with that." Zheng protested
"I know you won't, that's why you're the groups moral compass. But you're also weak, at the moment. Not physically. No, but, you're still too naive and indecisive."
"Kayako will rip you apart and twist your morals, so it has to be me." Zheng wanted to disagree but, Lan's hand clutched his arm. as if looking for some assurance.
"The second reason is to tell you. That from now on, I'll be taking a more active role in this group. I can't just be a support character, a comic relief or a spectator in the team."
"There are times. I'll be working on my own but, that's why I'm telling you, my goal; is first and foremost to complete the movie and maybe assist in making a somewhat cohesive team."
"I'll not be like Xuan and sacrifice some to save the many but, I'll only go out my way to save somebody if it doesn't risk or endanger the team and its synergy."
"That's all, you may agree or disagree but, like it or not. This is how I'll operate for now."
"So, rest up! wheels up at 21:00, We will be going home by sunrise..."
